Washington Elementary
November 2025
Message from Principal Gale
Thank you to all the families who attended Parent-Teacher Conferences this fall! We were thrilled to have 92% of our students represented. Your partnership and collaboration are key to helping every student reach their full potential.
As we move into November, please remember that Daylight Saving Time ends the first weekend of the month. With the time change and shorter daylight hours, consistent bedtime routines are more important than ever to help students stay rested and ready to learn each day.
Our Morning Walking Club will continue to go outside as long as the feels-like temperature is 15 degrees or higher. Please make sure students come dressed appropriately for the colder weather—layers, hats, and gloves are encouraged.
Thank you for your continued support in making Washington a wonderful place to learn and grow!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Gale
Mrs. Simmons, School Counselor
As we move into November, it’s a great time to reflect on gratitude and kindness. Encouraging students to notice and appreciate the positive things in their lives—big or small—helps build a strong sense of well-being and connection.
This month, we’ll continue focusing on respect, responsibility, and kindness in our classrooms and around the school. Families can support these lessons at home by talking about ways to show gratitude, lending a helping hand, or sharing something kind with others.
The change in season and shorter days can sometimes affect energy and mood. Keeping consistent routines, especially with bedtime and homework, helps students feel secure and ready to learn.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to work with such wonderful students and families each day. Wishing everyone a calm, cozy, and gratitude-filled November!
