Message From the Principal
Dear Families,
Hope you are all doing well. We had our first snowball game with kindergarten yesterday! They were very sweet and hopefully it was fun for them. Hopefully other grades will be getting those snowball points and earning a game soon!
Things have been going well here at Wildwood. I’m trying to spend more time in the classrooms, stepping away from email. (It’s amazing how it pulls you in and burns up time!) Our classrooms run very smoothly, even when subs are filling in. We’ve had some illness going through staff recently and PUSD is fortunate to have many good substitute teachers.
And if you have a little time and want to help out at lunch to make sure the students get the lunch they need, please read the message below and sign up.
Don't forget! No school Friday and Monday. Have a great long weekend!
Have a good week.
Beth

Parents Club Update
Spring is already springing, and what a busy season it is!
There are multitude opportunities to celebrate, support, and show appreciation for our school in the coming weeks. The sheer number of options can get a little confusing!
So, here’s a hot take: Spring Fling is an entire season of giving led by Piedmont Education Foundation (PEF), including an online auction, an array of themed parties in the community, and a gala scheduled Friday, April 25. Just as PEF’s Giving Campaign raises funds in the fall for all of PUSD, Spring Fling is PEF’s fundraiser specifically for PUSD’s three elementary schools.
Wildwood’s annual Spring Festival, happening May 3rd on the Lower Playground, is our school’s own outdoor event that celebrates community and fun! It is not a heavy fundraising event; kids enjoy outdoor games, gardening activities, and crafts.
A small but mighty team is forming to pin down Spring Festival details. Please email Vic Manley or text 831.706.7610 if you are interested in joining a casual in-home planning get-together at a time TBD next week.
Mark your calendars for the following events throughout the year:
- Community Coffee, March 21
- WPC Meeting, March 25
- Community Coffee, April 18
- Spring Fling gala, April 25
- Wildwood Book Fair, April 28-May 2
- WPC Meeting, April 29
- Wildwood Spring Festival, May 3
- Staff Appreciation Week, May 5-9
- Community Coffee, May 16 (final of the year!)
- WPC Meeting, May 20 (final of the year!)
Dad's Club
Next meeting is Thursday, April 3, 7:30pm at Cato’s, 3891 Piedmont Ave, Oakland
Our next event is our annual end of year celebration (aka Golf Outing) on April 25th. Mark your calendars. Details coming soon!
