"Let's Go!"

When Santa Fe Athletic Teams have positive momentum swings start to go their way in competitions, the phrase "let's go" is often heard being said with great enthusiasm by players and coaches. The phrase is intended to encourage the players making the good things happen to keep that same level of positive momentum going for as long as possible. Coming off spring break, our school has tremendous positive momentum. We just completed a very successful Double Wolf Dare Week, we had four students recognized as Academic All-State (out of only 100 statewide), and we had five students named as Presidential Scholar Nominees by the US Department of Education. Additionally, our spring activities are off to a successful start with hundreds of Santa Fe students representing our school in a variety of ways.

Students will notice that class time will be maximized in the coming weeks to allow for teaching and learning to take place at high levels so that our school can thrive during the months of April and May when State Testing and AP Testing take place. Thank you for contributing to the positive educational environment at Santa Fe High School. Let's go!

Advisory Continues this Week

When the Advisory Bell rings at 10:00, students have five minutes to travel to their advisory locations. From 10:05-10:25, students receive assistance in the class where they need help. Students not attending advisory will remain in 2nd Hour from 10:00-10:25. For students who are caught up, this is an excellent time to use their Chromebooks to work on homework or take care of other school-related items. Students may be placed on the advisory list for any subject on any day of the week, but there are priority days for core subjects that take priority over other subjects.

Monday: Math Priority Day

Tuesday: English Priority Day

Wednesday: Science Priority Day

Thursday: Students will remain in 2nd Hour during Advisory this Thursday

Friday: Math Priority Day

Senior Lunch (15 Minutes Extra on March 28)

As a reward for raising the most money during 15K in a Day leading up to DWDW, Seniors will have 15 minutes extra at lunch on March 28. First Lunch students need to be in class when the bell for the start of Second Lunch rings at 12:25. Second Lunch students may leave fifteen minutes early at 12:10 when the bell rings for First Lunch Students to be in class.

School IDs required for Bus Riders

Santa Fe HS is participating in a pilot program that will allow EPS to use an ID scanner to ensure that a student makes it on the bus and off the bus each day both before and after school. Students will need to have their School IDs visible and ready to scan each day for this system to work. Please speak to your student about the importance of participating in this pilot program. Throughout the district, parents contact schools from time to time to ask if their student got on the bus or not. This will provide a real-time way to check and ensure that students safely are returned to their bus stops near their homes.
