President's Message
Keep Christmas in our small town!
There are so many things I love about this time of year.
I love when the air is crisp and cool, reminding me that change isn’t a four-letter word.
I love watching the Nutcracker at our local high school.
I love pictures with Santa.
I love that with a few lights and a little creativity, anything can sparkle.
I love our holiday parade.
I love our annual crafts fair of local artists at the civic center.
I love ice skating in the neighboring town.
I love tree lightings and carols.
I love our no-sew blankets and silent auction, featuring the Madrigal singers, and the good work we can do in wonderful fellowship with friends to bless those in need.
I love cookie swaps…well, let’s face it…I LOVE cookies.
Especially this year. Especially during these times. I am choosing, no, I am seeking, to enjoy these things that I love and remember what matters. This journey we share together should not be taken for granted, for it is not an accident we have joined together.
I love the sisterhood we get to celebrate freely, and I love the opportunity to serve others with you. Whatever season you find yourself in during this holiday time, I hope you take the opportunity to seek out the things you love and enjoy, the blessings we have right here in the heart of our small town.

Adventures all around!
Diana Homan and her husband are prepping for a hiking trip to Patagonia! She writes:
Patagonia Prep: Phase 1 complete!
"Kevin and I have completed 3 core training hikes: Mt. Cammerer 12 miles, steep ascent of just over 3000 ft; Gregory Bald 14 miles, demanding distance and another 3000 ft elevation change; and a tough very steep 12 mile loop in Frozen Head.
These hikes with significant mileage and elevation gain across varied terrain will hopefully be ideal conditioning for the challenging ascents, descents, and consecutive hiking days we have planned for our trip to Patagonia in February."
And they completed a trip to Helen/Clarksville Georgia for more hiking and a celebration of 43 years of marriage on November 20th. Congratulations Diana and Kevin!
Kris Light also ventured out in October:
She and her husband, Kenny, went to the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia; St. George Island, FL; and the Atlanta Aquarium in October. She sent: "This is one of the many alligators we saw in the Okefenokee Swamp. This area is where the comic strip "Pogo" originated. We also saw manatees at Wakulla Springs State Park in Florida."
Kris can even make an alligator look "beautiful!"
Chapter Activties
Right around the corner! We will be making "No-Sew" Blankets on November 29th, the last Saturday of this month. Just one week away! Hours are from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Robertsville Baptist.
Please let us know if you will be helping. The weather is going to change quickly after Thanksgiving and many people will be in need of the warmth the blankets can provide.
It's easy to learn and a great afternoon of fellowship and service.
