Spring in Full Swing at Johnson City ISD
Spring is always a busy and exciting time in our district, and April has certainly been no exception. Our campuses are full of activity as students and staff continue working hard in the classroom while also preparing for competitions, performances, and end-of-year events. It is a time when we see the results of months of dedication, and I continue to be proud of the effort, commitment, and positive spirit displayed across Johnson City ISD each day.
In addition to the many student activities taking place, we are also seeing continued progress across the district, including the successful transition into our new middle school facility and the many opportunities it is providing for our students and staff. As we move closer to the end of the school year, our focus remains on finishing strong, supporting one another, and celebrating the accomplishments of our students and employees.

Online Registration for 2026-2027 School Year
Returning student online registration is now live! Please log into the Parent Portal (click here) to begin your student’s registration. Students must be re-enrolled each year. Since the year is not over, any standard form linked to registration will still show the grade a student is in right now. If there are no changes to your child's information the entire process should take less than 5 minutes per student. If you have changes, it may take a few minutes longer, but not much. Mrs. Walker has included a link to a TIP Sheet showing screenshots which might be helpful. As always, if you need additional help, please reach out to the secretary at your child's campus.
New LBJ Middle School Ribbon Cutting and Community Open House
Johnson City ISD proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting and community open house for the new LBJ Middle School on March 31st. The event brought together students, staff, board members, project partners, and community members to mark an important milestone for our district.
The evening was a true celebration of partnership and progress. Board President Sarah Allen welcomed guests, followed by remarks from Justin Bell with WRA and Todd Lewis from Gallagher, who each played key roles in bringing the project to completion. We also took time to recognize our students and staff for their flexibility and positive attitude throughout the transition into the new building.
Most importantly, we expressed our sincere appreciation to the Johnson City community for supporting the bond that made this project possible. Their investment in our schools reflects a shared commitment to providing safe, modern learning environments for our students.
The event concluded with a ribbon cutting ceremony and an open house, where families and community members toured the facility and experienced firsthand the opportunities this new campus will provide for generations of Eagles to come.
