Curriculum for SC1 and SC2 Curriculum for SC1 and SC2

The SC1 and SC2 classrooms use the enCore adapted curriculum. This curriculum has a total of 36 units; each grade level (K-5) has 6 units each. Because our classes have multiple grade levels we can use two or more units simultaneously, if we chose to do so. For example, a teacher can use a Kindergarten unit, a 2nd grade unit, and a 4th grade unit to meet the different needs of those students. Each unit has an adapted Fiction book and an adapted Non-Fiction book. It takes six weeks to complete one full unit, we work 3 weeks with each book in the unit. In addition to reading, each unit provides activities related to vocabulary, writing, phonics, math, science and social studies.
