We had another amazing week on campus! Our students are all working hard on end of the year assessments, please do your best to schedule appointments in the afternoons during the next few weeks as to not disrupt that morning testing period. Next week we look forward to our band, orchestra and choir concerts for all grade levels, the kids have been rehearsing all week and are excited to showcase their talents! Make sure to look below at our end of the year dates as we know this can be an extremely busy time of year. And a big Happy Mother's Day to all of our Fugman moms, you are all amazing!

Reminder that if your student is trying to earn the Sparthenian Reader award, all points must be completed by Friday, May 15th.

Block F forms will also be due to teachers on this date!

Memorial Day is celebrated on the last Monday in May in the United States. This year it will be on Monday, May 25th. The day honors all veterans who gave their lives for the U.S. Sometimes, Veterans’ Day and Memorial Day are confused. Both days honor men and women who have served in the military, but Memorial Day remembers those who died while serving. On Memorial day we honor the sacrifice of fallen soldiers through patriotic concerts, parades, and decorating military graves, especially in Washington, D.C.
Marlins, this week we’re asking you to: When will Memorial Day be celebrated in the U.S this year? Write your answer on the line provided below. Place one answer slip in a Cultural Corner box by the end of the school day this Thursday for your chance to win a prize. Your Student Council members will select 1 primary and 1 upper grade student from a raffle during Friday morning announcements.
