November Principal's Message

Hello Park Families!

November is here, and we have so much to be thankful for at Park Elementary! As we head into this season of gratitude, I want to take a moment to thank our incredible students, dedicated teachers, and wonderful families. I feel so fortunate to be part of a school community that works together to help every child learn, grow, and succeed.

We have some exciting things happening this month, and I wanted to share a few reminders and celebrations with you!

📚 November Events

We are kicking off November with our Book Fair, November 2–6! This is always such a fun opportunity for students to discover new books and develop a love for reading. We are especially excited for our Grandparents & Good Books Day on Friday, November 6, from 8:15–8:40 AM. We invite grandparents, parents, and other special adults to join us for a donut and some book shopping!

We will also take time this month to recognize Veterans Day on November 11 and honor the brave men and women who have served our country. We are grateful for their service and sacrifice.

As Thanksgiving approaches, we hope our Park families enjoy a wonderful holiday together. There will be no school November 25–27 for Thanksgiving Break.

🌟 Term 2 Reward – Glow Stick Party!

We are excited to announce that our Term 2 schoolwide reward will be a GLOW STICK PARTY! This term, our focus is on work completion.

We want students to develop strong habits of responsibility, perseverance, and doing their personal best. Students will be working toward earning this fun celebration by completing their classroom assignments and staying focused on their learning.

We encourage you to visit with your child about the importance of completing their work, using their time wisely, and asking for help when needed. We know our Panthers can rise to the challenge, and we can't wait to celebrate their hard work!

🚗 Important Drop-Off & Pick-Up Reminder

I also want to ask for your help in keeping our drop-off and pick-up areas safe and running smoothly.

Our drop-off and pick-up lanes are for loading and unloading students only. Please do not park your vehicle or get out to look for your child in these lanes. It is important that our traffic continues moving forward so we can maintain a safe, steady flow of vehicles.

Here are a few ways you can help:

  • Keep pulling forward as space becomes available.

  • Have a designated meeting spot where your child can wait safely on the sidewalk.

  • Have your child ready to get into your vehicle when you pull up to the sidewalk.

  • If you need to get out of your vehicle to find your child, please park in an appropriate parking space and walk to meet them rather than stopping in the pick-up lane.

I know afternoons can be busy, and everyone is anxious to get their children home. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work together to keep all our students safe and traffic moving efficiently!

Thankful for Our Park Panthers!

As we enter this season of gratitude, I want you to know how thankful I am for our Park Elementary community. Every day, I see students showing kindness, teachers going above and beyond, and families supporting our school in countless ways.

Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being such an important part of their education. We have so much to celebrate, and I am excited to see all the great things our Panthers will accomplish in November!

Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving season!

One Team, One Dream!
