We have school Monday through Friday this week, 7:40 - 2:50 daily.

Students should be in their seats by 7:40, so plan to have them to school by 7:30 am.

Students will begin each day this week in homeroom (RDS), as an opportunity to learn more about school and teacher expectations, getting logged into their chromebooks, etc. We have a new fence in front of the school, so all students dropped off in the morning should plan on walking around to the cafeteria side entrance -- same location bus riders will enter.

Open House on Aug 18 was a huge success! We had over 350 students come with their families! We were so excited to see them and can't wait to meet the rest of our students tomorrow!

We still have approximately 100 students whose parents have not yet completed the online registration. Remember that even though students were enrolled in NCHS or NCMS last year, they are still required to have an annual registration on file with us in order to be allowed to use their chromebooks and to be fully registered in school. Anyone who did not have the form completed as of noon on August 21 will not have their chromebooks in homerooms on Monday, but each day we will work on delivering chromebooks to students as forms are completed. To ensure your child is ready for the first day of school, please log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal (https://182.ncsis.gov/campus/portal/parents/psu182newton.jsp) and complete the Returning Student Registration for each returning student in your household. Thank you to the parents of the 600 students who have already completed it!!

If you did not purchase a 26-27 parking pass yet, come to the front office or see Mrs. Kisser during lunchtime to purchase your $35 permit. Students must be present with a valid driver's license in order to purchase a parking pass. After the first few days of school, parking tickets will be issued to anyone who does not have a posted parking permit in their cars. Parking passes are not transferable.

To save time, complete this form prior to arriving at the school. Copies will also be available on-site.
