Weekly Message
Good evening Beverly Hills Middle School Families,
I would like to thank all of those who attended our Open House last week. We are in our first full week of classes, so things will begin to move quickly! This weekend we have our Family Picnic, please see the information below regarding this event.
BHMS Parent Forum Information
We’re looking ahead to our Parent Forum nights for this school year and we want to make sure it’s as meaningful and helpful for you as possible! To help us plan an event that meets the needs and interests of our families, we’re asking you to take a moment to complete a very brief survey. Your feedback will directly guide the topics, activities, and resources we include in parent forums. Please click the link below to share your thoughts: BHMS Family Survey 2027
Attendance Awareness Month Message
September is Attendance Awareness Month!
Every school day matters. Regular attendance helps students stay connected to their teachers, classmates, and learning, while also building the habits they need for success in school and beyond. Establishing consistent morning and evening routines, planning ahead for appointments, and communicating with your child’s school when challenges arise can make a meaningful difference in student attendance.
Together, we can help every student be present, engaged, and ready to learn—because every day counts!
PBIS Fall Rewards Criteria
We will be holding a Fall PBIS Rewards day on October 23, 2026. Students will be required to earn the participation to the Rewards Day. Therefore, there are certain actions that will result in a student not earning the right to participate.
12 or more tardy to school from 9/8/26 to 10/16/2026
2 or more administrative reflections assigned from 9/8/26 to 10/23/2026
1 or more suspension days 9/8/26 to 10/23/2026
IXL Skills
Each week your child should be completing two skills per week up to a Smart score of 80 in both ELA and Math. Please check in with your child, ask them to show you their progress. Evidence shows this can have a positive impact on their growth in those areas.
BHMS Family Picnic

PBIS Lessons
Please see our PBIS lessons for this month. We encourage you to follow along with the students and use these to guide discussions at home with your students!
Community Expectations
I want to ask you take a few minutes to talk with your student about expectations for their behavior in the community and while traveling to and from school. Our choices reflect the pride we have in ourselves, the respect we show to others, and the reputation of Beverly Hills Middle School and Upper Darby School District as a whole.
Students are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly on buses, sidewalks, and in neighborhoods. This includes using appropriate language, keeping hands, feet, and objects to themselves, crossing streets safely and following directions from crossing guards and bus drivers, respecting the property of community members along walking and bus routes.
Please remember to behave in the community as you are expected to in school and at home. How we conduct ourselves in the community leaves a lasting image of BHMS on our neighbors. Please carry your ROYAL pride within the community each day. Remember that as BHMS Royals we are safe, we are responsible, we are respectful and we are gritty.
Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
The Children's Health Insurance Program — or CHIP — is Pennsylvania's program to provide health coverage to uninsured children and teens who are not eligible for or enrolled in Medical Assistance. Regardless of the reasons your children might not have health insurance, CHIP may be able to help you.

Safe2Say Something Reminder
The Safe2Say Something system teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, of individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and say something, using our anonymous reporting system. Safe2Say Something is also a way to anonymously report unsafe, potentially harmful, dangerous, violent or criminal activities in any school in Pennsylvania.
