~Counselor's Corner~
Check those grades! We have 13 SCHOOL DAYS left until finals!! Please take a look at your/your student’s grades and make plans now to address any low or failing grades. Counselors are available to help students make recovery plans, problem solve, or communicate with teachers.
Sophomores and Sophomore Families: We are meeting with our rising juniors again this week to review junior year schedules. Please be sure to take a look at your student’s proposed schedule on the Academic Plan in Aeries.
Seniors and Senior Families: Now that college apps are almost done, it is time to move on to the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Each senior MUST complete the FAFSA or complete the opt out form. FAFSA is essential to access any money for post high school education. AGHS has four Cash for College evenings during which families can come to the AGHS Library and get help on the FAFSA from trained professional financial aid personnel. We will be holding our first Cash for College workshop this WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3RD, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM in the AGHS Library.
Free Mental Health Support: Lucia Mar is proud to offer all students access to free mental health teletherapy through Daybreak Health. Please see the flyer in the newsletter for more information or call the Counseling Department at (805)474-2030.

Clear Absences by 4pm Tuesday, 12/02/25. Please make sure that the Attendance Office is informed of the reason for any still unverified absences for 11/03/25 - 11/21/25. After that date, we will not be able to make any changes.
College & Military Visits
Seniors and Juniors planning a college/military visit should stop by the Attendance Office to pick up an Excused Absence Request form ahead of their visit. If approved, up to two days may be excused.
