HUDL

HUDL remains our main communication tool between coaches and players. Please encourage your boys to check it daily!

WHAT AN OFFSEASON

Why do you do it and what does it mean to you? This is something I ask myself every day. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't put time and energy into making this program the best it can be. I do this because I love it and I care. This is the example we are all trying to set as adults/coaches.

Special recognition to those who attended all 3 phases! Many came in the cold, many came after a winter or spring practice and many came when they weren't feeling great or could have done other things. This is #THESTANDARD!

Some guys who deserve recognition are Carter Holguin, Nick Kasprowicz and Ben Rogers. There are others but these 3 in particular crushed their offseason. They are all bigger, stronger and healthier not to mention faster! An elite offseason thus far no doubt.

*There are 10,080 minutes in a week.

*There are roughly 1,440 minutes accounted for with school and sleep.

*This leaves about 8,640 minutes a week free.

*Two STA workouts per week equal 120 minutes.

*The STA workouts make up 1.4% of the week! 1.4%!

Strength training is vital for player development and team success. This is especially true for those on the Prospect List. It These workouts are humbling for our guys but the guys do see quick growth and players meet their goals with 1.4% of their time invested. They have to attend and dial into pushing themselves to their limits but if they do they will experience success.

👏Thanks to owner Ben Woods and our main trainer Ben Franklin for their expertise and relationships made with our Quakers!👏 Most importantly, thank you to our families that support our guys. The support means a ton to the staff. We work with the guys to realize how loved and supported they are.

CONGRATULATIONS

Senior LB and soon to be Quaker alumni Evan Pugliese has committed to play collegiate football at Hilbert College next year! Evan has put in the work to improve each season and we can't wait to see what his journey looks like in blue and white as he honors his past and attacks his future! Your Quaker Football family is proud of you Evan. There isn't a more selfless and team first guy around!

TO HAVE GOOD GUYS AROUND OUR GUYS

It has been something I've always believed in. Having good guys coaching our guys is one of my most important jobs. Coaching MS and HS football brings change. It's inevitable. Congrats to Coach Feldman, Coach Lawley and Coach Paolini. All have become or will soon become new fathers and some have gotten bigger roles at work. They won't be back full time in the fall but I do hope to have them back in the near future. FAMILY-SCHOOL-FOOTBALL. Congrats gents, we are all happy for you. Coach Haggerty is returning to volunteer on Varsity and we are excited to have him back.

I am working with Mr. Hack and the Athletic Office to fill the staffs on all five levels. Coach Johnson is returning to MOD7, Coaches Kozar and Senn to MOD8, Coaches Weiss and Ferrara to JV and there are no changes to VARSITY. More information to be shared in the near future. Thank you!

⭐ORCHARD PARK FALL 2026 TIMELINE AND DUE DATES⭐

The district recently posted the Fall 2026 timeline. This timeline/document is loaded with information and dates. Please check it out!

WEST SENECA WEST UPPERS CAMP

The VARSITY Quakers travel to West Seneca West each June to participate in an Upper Camp versus WSW, Iroquois and Lackawanna. WSW hosts on June 15th-17th and it runs from 3-5:30pm each day. This is a step closer to real football as it is 11 on 11 and run to thud with quick whistles.

A google form sign up will be shared in HUDL soon. I will also share details about uppers (helmet and shoulder pads) fitting and sign out for camp. The guys will keep their uppers all season as we have plans to use them this summer with additional schools.

CROSS TRAINING ATHLETICS 7ON7 SPRING LEAGUE

Years ago, pre-COVID, the Buffalo Bills hosted free 7on7 games in the Bills Fieldhouse to partner and assist in the offseason development of local high school teams. Once COVID hit they stopped.

Cross Training Athletics picked up the void and plans, organizes and runs a June 7on7 league. Each registered team plays two games on two different Thursday's. While 7on7 isn't real football there is value in playing with your QB's, RB's and WR's. Chemistry and knowledge of what we do and why we do in the pass game are the big positives.

I will be sharing a google form in HUDL for those interested. Additional messages re: schedule, etc... will be posted there as well.

QUAKERS PROSPECT LIST

For some, the possibility of playing NCAA Football is a goal! The Quakers have a Prospect List for those who may be interested. Here are the details:

🏈Contact Coach Cieslik with your interest.

🏈Set up a meeting with player, parent(s) and Coach Cieslik. We can meet at a coffee place, MS or HS at anytime that works for all. Meetings are about 90-minutes long.

🏈The goal is to educate the player and parent(s) on the process of becoming an NCAA prospect and options for the future!

🏈These meetings are recommended to begin as early as a player's FRESH year.

Contact Coach Cieslik for additional information!

NCAA VISITS THE LAST TWO WEEKS

It is time consuming balancing and scheduling the NCAA schools that want to come into our HS and meet with our guys but it is rewarding helping the guys navigate the recruiting process. The past two weeks alone we have hosted Army, Massachusetts, Cornell, Albany, Cortland, Brockport, Utica, St. Lawrence, University of Rochester, Ithaca and St. John Fischer.

The biggest compliment is that our guys are ready for the college classroom and ready to complete and earn a role at the next level is the biggest compliment I can ask for. #OPNE

PRESEASON PROSPECTIVE PLAYER MEETINGS

As we have in the past we will be organizing and running prospective player meetings at both the MS and HS.

🏈The meeting at. OPHS for anyone interested in playing JV or VARSITY will be on 6/3/26 at 2pm in room 263.
