Pickup procedures
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We truly appreciate your support, patience, and understanding as we roll out our new pick-up procedures. You all have been absolute champs—and honestly, a pretty amazing group of parents to work with.
Our mission? To get every student safely to their vehicle, buckled in, and on their way before 3:15 PM. Are we there yet? Not quite. But hey—each day this week we’ve gotten a little faster, a little smoother, and a lot more efficient.
With your continued support (and maybe a few deep breaths), we’re confident we’ll reach our goal soon. Thanks for sticking with us as we fine-tune the after-school hustle!
Food for thought!
Did you know KAES is a peanut-free school?
It’s true! It’s not that we have anything against peanuts—we’re sure they’re lovely. But we love our friends and classmates a whole lot more. For some of our students, even being near peanuts can be dangerous. That’s why we ask everyone to help us keep KAES a safe, peanut-free zone.
So when packing snacks and lunches, please double-check those labels and leave the food with peanuts in them at home. Thanks for helping us keep all our students safe, healthy, and happily nut-free!
First Days
There’s nothing quite like the first days of school—
New friends, fresh notebooks, new schedules to figure out, and of course, meeting all the new teachers! Here are a few snapshots that capture the fun, excitement, and a little bit of the chaos from this first week back. Let the adventure begin!
Soccer Tryouts August 19

Let’s see what you’ve got!
Seeking volunteers to coach elementary and Junior High volleyball.
We are excited to share that several of our students have expressed interest in playing volleyball this season! 🏐 Their enthusiasm is contagious, and we would love to make this opportunity possible for them.
At the moment, we do not yet have any coaches in place. If you, or someone you know, would be interested in coaching, we would be thrilled to have you join our athletics family. Your leadership and support could make all the difference in giving these girls a fun, successful, and memorable season!
If you are interested or have a recommendation, please reach out to Ms. Keila at
Kpuga@kaes-sda.org Let’s work together to make this volleyball season a reality for our students!
Volunteer to help keep our fields mowed.
Ever dreamt of unleashing your inner landscaper? Or maybe you’ve always wanted to command a 28-horsepower diesel beast named “Mow-zilla”? Do you find the smell of freshly cut organic grass strangely therapeutic? If you answered yes (or even just smirked), we’ve got the gig for you.
KAES is assembling a fearless squad of mowing volunteers to tame the wild green jungle behind the school. No experience necessary—just a willingness to learn, a fondness for riding lawnmowers, and maybe a good playlist for the ride.
We’re asking for about 3 hours of your time, once or twice a month. In return, you'll receive full training, eternal gratitude, and bragging rights as an honorary Lawn Ranger.
Let Mr. Coulter (682)500-5359 know of your interest and take Mow-zilla for a spin—cape optional, good vibes guaranteed.
