Fairfield ISD Mourns the Loss of Vicki Stephenson

Thursday was a tough day for the Eagle Family, as we lost a long-time teacher, Vicki Stephenson. Vicki taught at Fairfield Intermediate school until her illness forced an early retirement last year. She courageously battled the dreaded disease with everything she had and showed how much sheer grit and determination can do. Vicki was such a positive person who influenced and inspired so many in the Fairfield ISD schools and community. Please keep the Stephenson and Bachtel families in your thoughts and prayers.

Floral Design Students Create Arrangements for Staff Members

Students in Ms. Ellis' Floral Design class were able to put lots of smiles on staff members' faces last week with arrangements they created in class. They delivered these to staff members who supported the project. They will be doing this four times throughout the school year as they continue to hone their craft of making arrangements.

Grand Band Finishes 6th in State Military Marching Contest

The Grand Band made its second consecutive appearance at the State Military Marching Contest on Tuesday at Baylor's McLean Stadium. The band finished 6th overall, just outside of the top five bands that were selected to advance to the finals. While this was a disappointment for the band, it was an improvement over last year and another learning experience to build on for next year. We are very proud of their dedication to excellence and the pride they bring to Fairfield ISD and the Fairfield community.
