MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL KENELY MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL KENELY

Dolphin Families,

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped us Rock the Pod at our Back to School Bash last Monday evening! It was truly a wonderful night filled with fun, food, and time together as one Dolphin family.

A huge thank you to our amazing PTA for always bringing the fun and helping create special memories for our students and families!

Next up on our campus playlist… Trunk or Treat! Start picking your theme, planning those costumes, and getting your decorations ready.

Sincerely,

April D. Kenely

Principal

Donald will be participating in the district-wide Stuff the Pantry food drive coming up next week. Only specific items are needed and are noted on the flyer below as well as a handout coming home soon. We are holding a friendly competition with our top 3 classes receiving a popsicle party from the counselors! Once the event begins, feel free to send the donations to school with your child and their teacher will tally the items on their class total. If you would like to make a donation that is too large for your child to carry, please reach out and we will be happy to help. Any questions- feel free to ask! Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity!

Is there a teacher, staff member, principal, or assistant principal who has made a difference for your child or family? Take a moment to Recognize SomeONE and let them know their hard work is seen and appreciated!

As my mama would say, “Give people their flowers while they can still smell them.” 💙 A few kind words can mean more than you know—and it only takes a minute to make someone’s day!

Want to go on Class Field Trips this year? Volunteer on campus?

If you are wanting to attend your child's field trips, help with events, or volunteer on campus you MUST have a VOLY background check complete. It is a very easy process and nice to get out of the way early before it's too late!

Lewisville ISD's VOLY site is open and ready to accept volunteers for the 2025-2026 school year. All volunteers on LISD campuses must have an approved background check on file. LISD uses LewisvilleISD.voly.org to post volunteer opportunities and to process background checks. Please go to the site and either create an account or update your account from a previous year. VOLY also has an app! You can find it in the app store for either Apple or Android products. Be sure to select that you want to work with Lewisville ISD. We look forward to having you on campus as a volunteer soon!

TRA's 2026 Art Contest has begun! TRA's 2026 Art Contest has begun!

This year's theme, "Water Works", invites students to explore the many ways we depend on and use water, as well as the systems that collect, treat, deliver, and clean it. Water is woven into every aspect of our lives, supporting our homes, communities, economy, and environment in ways we often take for granted. Ensuring water continues to work for communities requires people, technology, infrastructure, and careful stewardship. Students can explore water infrastructure, including pipes, treatment plants, and reservoirs, as well as the careers and people behind these essential systems. By exploring the many ways water works for us and the many ways we work with water, this theme encourages students to creatively consider the connections between water, people, infrastructure, and the communities they support.

The contest is open to 1st - 8th grade students who live in or attend school in TRA Board Counties (Anderson, Chambers, Dallas, Ellis, Freestone, Henderson, Houston, Kaufman, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Navarro, Polk, San Jacinto, Tarrant, Trinity, Walker) and 1st - 8th grade students living or attending school in TRA customer cities outside of those counties (Flower Mound, Argyle, Northlake, Roanoke, Justin, and Venus).

Winners will be chosen from each grade level and will receive prizes and recognition! Entries will close on September 30, 2026.

I have attached the full information packet, or you can view it on our website at https://trinityra.org/art. The packet includes the contest rules, resources to learn more about the theme, and the entry form.
