Calendar Reminder: There is no school for students this Friday, May 23rd and Monday, May 26th. All CVUSD schools and district offices will be closed on Monday, May 26th in honor of Memorial Day. Classes resume on Tuesday, May 27th.

We proudly recognize May 18-24, 2025, as Classified School Employee Week, a time to recognize our classified employees for their hard work and dedication to our Conejo students, schools, and community.

Classified school employees have the important task of supporting the District’s educational programs, the smooth operation of offices, the safety and maintenance of buildings and properties, and the healthy nutrition, and care of students.

CVUSD honors classified school employees and their influential role in the district.

We are so grateful for the invaluable contributions of these individuals all year through, and we are especially proud to honor them this week. At the center of our CVUSD community are our dedicated employees who make invaluable contributions to our community of learners.

At a special celebration event last week we recognized more than 45 of our exceptional educators, administrators and staff members who have reached the well-deserved milestone of retirement. These individuals have made a lasting impact on our school campuses, and we ask the whole Conejo community to join us in sharing congratulations and gratitude for their contributions to our schools, scholars and broader Conejo community!

Additionally, at this event, employees who have reached significant milestones of service this school year: 15 years, 20 years, 25 years, 30 years and 35 years were honored with Employee Service Awards. We are so grateful for the legacy of dedication and excellence that these individuals continue to lead with on our school campuses. Congratulations to all Awardees and thank you for your profound commitment to our schools, students and Conejo community!

The CVUSD community is invited to join the District’s Instructional Services team for an upcoming Preview Webinar on Wednesday, May 28th from 5pm to 6pm to review and learn more about new, proposed Instructional Materials for the following courses:

• Grades 10-12: Math - Statistics

• Grades 10-12: History - AP World History

We’re excited to share our District Math Instagram page — a valuable resource created especially for TK-8 parents and teachers! Follow us for quick tips, fun activities, and practical strategies to help your child develop strong number sense and grow as a confident mathematician. You'll find easy ways to support math learning at home, updates on classroom strategies, and insights into how we make math meaningful and engaging for all students.

Our dedicated Child Nutrition team is spicing things up with taste tests for next year's school menus! Last week, Glenwood Elementary School gave two big thumbs up for the samplings of Ham and Cheese Croissants (a requested menu item from Gator students)! Also on the tasting menu for students to try and share their feedback:
