BACK TO SCHOOL EDITION

UPDATES
Students' Schedule
We have had a lot of parents reach out regarding scheduling for their students. You will be able to see your child's schedule beginning Friday, July 31st, 2026. Nothing is finalized so what you may have had access to may not be the final decision. Please be patient with the process. Ms. Claudia is working hard on finalizing schedules but it is a long and arduous process.
New Rapid Identity for Students
The district has implemented a new sign in process that has already rolled out for staff but is still in the working stages for students. At this time students may not be able to log into their Google Classroom. If there is any summer work they need to turn in, please have them use either good old pen/pencil and paper or something else that they can save and share with the teacher either in print or sharing electronically later. Change is hard but it's a good lesson in patience and perseverance. Thank you for your help with this.

If you have problems logging in or in case you have forgotten your Username and/or Password, please, reach out and we will provide you with the correct information and help you with resetting your password. CLICK HERE for the link and also to read and discover why it is important and beneficial to have access to ICPP.
Do you still have questions? Don't hesitate to call Mrs. Alexis Garcia, Family Liaison for help with this. The best way to respond to reach out to her is replying to this email agarcia8@aurorak12.org
Community Eligibility Form
Please take the time to fill out the Community eligibilty form. By taking the time to fill this form out you are helping us get an accurate view as to how many of our families would actually qualify for free or reduced lunch. The information helps us solicit sponsorships, donations and programs for our students and families. Plus it also is a great representation of our parent involvement, which is the best in the district!
If you need help, feel free to call the front office at 303-343-3664.
Opt in form for Transportation
Parents will need to fill out the form for students who will need Transportation for the 26-27 School Year.
Please click on the attached link to opt in for transportation.

Important Information to Know...
APS Student Technology Contract Now Includes Damage Costs
Due to no additional federal funding for devices being available, schools will continue charging families for any damages incurred to district devices during the 2026-27 school year. Please note that the first incident of damage will not be charged. Any following incidents will be charged based on the type of damage.
At Aurora Quest K-8, each student in grades K-8 is assigned a school-issued Chromebook to support daily learning and instruction. Chromebooks are checked out to students during the first week of school and remain assigned to them throughout the school year. Students do not take their Chromebooks home unless specifically authorized by the school.
How do students receive their Chromebook?
To receive a Chromebook, the Program/Parent Agreement must be signed prior to having a Chromebook checked out to students:
Parent Agreement (word document)
Parent Agreement (Google Form)
The damage repair cost is listed on the contract above. To obtain a paper copy, stop by the front office and we will gladly provide one.
Birthday Celebrations
We love to celebrate your children and the day they were born, but we do have many students and staff with life threatening food allergies that are contained in the usual celebratory food options like cupcakes and cookies.
In order to make sure all our students can partake in your child's celebratory day, please consider other ways to celebrate your child's special day with their classmates. Click here for idea options.
Early Arrival
Please remember that we have no supervision available before 7:25 a.m. Unless your student is enrolled in the before care program of the Boys & Girls Club students should not be dropped off earlier than 7:25 a.m. unless they are signed up for Boys and Girls Club.
If you need to drop them off before 7:25 a.m. please enroll in the before school care offered here at Quest.
Dr. Haddock advocated heartedly to have this resource available for parents.
Please understand that staff cannot be responsible for students before 7:25 a.m. and before 8:40 a.m. on late arrivals Wednesdays.
Early Pick Up
If you need to pick up your child early from school, please make sure to pick up before 2:15 p.m.
We will ask you to wait until dismissal if you arrive after 2:15 p.m.
Please make every effort to make appointments after school or on breaks if you are able.
Entrance at Arrival πͺππ»ββοΈ
Students must enter the school through the playground doors to go to breakfast which begins at 7:25 a.m.
From 7:25 a.m. to 7:40 a.m. the doors leading to the corridor will be locked so students must go around to the playground to enter for breakfast.
Only students accompanied by their parents will be allowed to enter the school before 7:45 a.m. Please do not drop them off.
During inclement weather, students will be allowed to enter through door #2 beginning at 7:25 a.m. (This door can be found to the left of the front entrance.)
Keeping Students Safe
Linewize is a software program employed by the School District to monitor a student's school Google account. For example, it monitors student searches, documents and emails. If a student writes something that might be inappropriate or worrisome, the program sends a notification to the school Administration to follow up with the student. If you have any questions about this program, you may reach out to Mr. Germes - jmgermes@aurorak12.org
