remember the good ones

Most people are good people. Some people are extra good. There is enough good around to push out all the bad. That person who cut you off might be who you remember, but there were hundreds of others who just flowed with you all day. Pay attention to the good ones. It feels good. - Sierra Pal

making a difference

A strong community is a living system made up of many interconnected parts—public and private, civic and charitable, large and small—all working together toward shared success. This collaboration is especially visible in how we attract new businesses and expand housing opportunities, where leadership, problem-solving, and execution must align. With the guidance of the Mayor and City Council, the thoughtful input of our Boards and Commissions, and the energy and investment of the business community, challenges are addressed collaboratively and ideas move from vision to reality. Thrive Excelsior plays a vital role by convening conversations, bringing partners together, and encouraging a holistic approach to continuous improvement—always asking how we can do better. We are grateful for the partnership of the City, School District, and Hospital; the Chamber and Downtown Excelsior Partnership; and the many dedicated City departments—including Police, Fire/EMS, Public Works, Parks & Recreation, the Community Center, Economic Development, Community Development, Golf, Finance, Human Resources, and IT—whose coordinated efforts make progress possible. As the year comes to a close, we extend our sincere thanks for the strong working relationships, shared commitment, and collaborative problem-solving that continue to strengthen our community.

choose your attitude!

Response to what you love about ES - Our community spirit! There are too many to list, & all deserve praise, but here are couple local businesses that I'm grateful to have. Ray's Diner, Willow Springs Mercantile, Mind, Body & Soap, Tiger Dragon Karate Club, Smith's Barber Shop. Thank you to all the local businesses. May you get overwhelmed with support & business! I'm born & raised in Japan. And I visited a few different countries. But I haven't found a place I WANT to live besides ES so far. Oh, I especially love beautiful parks in ES! Great clean downtown that's getter better all the time! Read it on FB
