4th Grade May Update

In Math, we will begin looking into some new fifth grade skills while also reviewing concepts that were taught this year. We are so proud of how hard ALL of the students have worked this year.

Please continue to practice multiplication facts with your child, at home, as well as, go over their homework with them. Every bit helps!

Reading:

In reading we will are jumping into our novel studies. We hope to learn great lessons from the characters and uplifting themes in our novels.

Writing:

As we write this month, we will focus on perfecting our mechanics of writing. We will also work on some creative writing to end the year.

Word Study:

All word study will be practiced in class.

Science:

In science, we are wrapping up our life sciences unit with learning about life cycles. We will have our last science unit test the second week of this month.

History:

We have learned so much about our great state this year. We will focus on the symbols that our state is known for. We will also practice our cursive as we work on our state song and pledge.
