Jaguar Tracks
October 23rd
Dear Jaguar Families,
What an eventful week at JE! There has been so much happening in our school community, and I love having the opportunity to share these moments with you!
On Monday, our Fifth Grade Safeties officially started! This is such an exciting milestone for our fifth graders, and I love seeing them stand a little taller with their safety sashes on. Our students are truly rising to the occasion and taking their jobs very seriously. It is wonderful to see them embracing their leadership roles and taking pride in helping our school community!
We also had the opportunity to host an event for the Reading community this week! Community members visited JE to see learning in action and learn more about the incredible work happening across our district. They were so impressed with our school, and it was wonderful to showcase the learning, relationships, and care that make JE such a special place. Guests also heard from a panel of teachers and administrators who shared the important work happening behind the scenes in our schools. We are proud to share all that makes our district and our school community so special!
Finally, a huge THANK YOU for your partnership in getting ready for the Halloween Howl and for volunteering your time to make it happen! These events are only possible because of the incredible support of our Jaguar families. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and care you put into creating these special experiences for our students.
I am so excited to see everyone at the Howl! I know it will be another wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, make memories, and have some fun!
Looking ahead, weโll have our Halloween parade at 8:45am on Friday around the school next week, rain or shine!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. Thank you for being such an important part of our JE family!
Warmly,
Caitlin

Reading Public Schools is a METCO District
METCO unites suburban towns with Boston to engage in a reciprocal learning partnership in support of all students. Because of this, every child who attends school in Reading Public Schools is a METCO student and every parent or guardian who has a student in RPS is a part of the METCO community.
"Since its founding during the peak of the Civil Rights Movement, the METCO program has enrolled tens of thousands of Boston students of color in predominately white school districts, creating the opportunity for those districts to experience the advantages of learning and working in a racially and ethnically diverse setting."
