SEARCHing for Work
News and More from Project SEARCH
Tour of CINTAS
On March 4th we toured the CINTAS company and had the opportunity to see one of our recent grads- Ethan Shapiro. Ethan was hired by the CINTAS company on September 21st as a picker for their warehouse center. His supervisor is extremely proud of Ethan and said his work production/efficiency is consistently in the top of his division. Ethan took time to take our interns with him as he started making his rounds filling orders and was able to give them some great insight as to what it takes to work for CINTAS.

Jordan Auriana has worked in the Auditor's Office, Juvenile Clerk of Courts and now is working at Otterbein in a variety of spots- helping out wherever she is needed. Jordan, a Mason HS grad, has consistently worked hard this year while also demonstrating leadership and kindness in the office. Her fellow interns always can count on a greeting and a smile from her in the morning and at the end of their day! Nice job Jordan!!

Jacob Smith Class of 2015
Where Are They Now?
This month we want to highlight another success story from the Warren County Career Center's Project SEARCH program. Jacob Smith graduated from Springboro HS and enrolled in Project SEARCH in the Fall of 2014. After working his first rotation in the culinary department at Otterbein Sr. Life, Jacob was offered a position as a partner in the culinary department at Otterbein where he has worked ever since. Now finishing up his 7th year at Otterbein Jacob has continued to become more independent- he earned his driver's license in 2017 and recently traveled to Chicago- by himself- via airplane to visit friends. Jacob also now manages one of the neighborhoods at Otterbein and also drives the company truck to deliver food to other areas on campus at Otterbein. When asked about his experience while at Otterbein here is what Jacob had to say, "The best thing about Project SEARCH was learning how to do things independently. I think it is helpful if students practice being independent at home with their parents first and then apply for the program. I enjoyed my time at Project SEARCH and learning so many new things during the program."
