Keeping a Pulse on Student Life at WMHS! 11/07/2025
Welcome to Our Heartbeat Newsletter!
If you're new here—welcome! Every Friday, we send out our Heartbeat of the Wildcat newsletter to keep you informed and connected. Each edition includes highlights of what’s been happening around the school during the week, as well as important updates and upcoming events.
Stay tuned and thank you for being part of our Wildcat community!
Around the Halls
Wildcats had their first swim practice of the season!
This week our teachers had a day of professional learning at the Clermont Collaborative Learning Conference. They attended presentations from experts in neighboring districts, and shared some of the great strategies that we use in Williamsburg. Thanks to those who presented, and we look forward to more collaboration in the future!
Eighth graders built and tested their own electromagnets by wrapping wire around iron nails and using batteries to create a magnetic field strong enough to lift paper clips, exploring how electric current can produce magnetism.
🏈The NHS students are bringing the noise! They turned donated containers into awesome noisemakers to cheer on our team in the 2nd round of playoffs tonight at Abrams Stadium! Let’s get loud and show our school spirit!💙🤍
The middle school ELA teachers attended the OMLA Conference to gather new strategies and resources for their classrooms. They joined in the fun “PJ Party” theme with matching pajamas—learning, laughing, and growing together!
Homer-stasis
Our CCP Biology students put their knowledge of homeostasis to the test! They explored biological feedback loops in a fun challenge—keeping Homer Simpson alive for 10 minutes while he dripped!
