School Fees are now due
School fees for 2026-27 are now posted to the PowerSchool Parent Portal. To help make fee payment as convenient as possible, EIPS offers several payment options, including a brand-new option this year—Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments, also known as E-Cheque. EFT payments allow you to pay directly from your bank account with no added fees, giving you added flexibility beyond credit or debit card payments.
When you log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal, click the “Student Fees” icon and proceed to checkout. You’ll now see EFT (E-Cheque) listed as a payment option. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete your payment.
To make checkout even faster, you can save EFT to your account for future use.
Log in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal account
Click on the “Student Fees” icon
Open the menu in the top-right corner
Select Manage Payment Methods
Add and save your EFT (E-Cheque) details
If circumstances exist where you are unable to pay your fees, you can apply to have fees waived by submitting an Application for a Waiver of Fees. For the 2026-27 year, the deadline for receiving fee waiver applications is Dec. 15, 2026.
Helmets Needed! 🥌 Pine Street Community Request
Our Grade 5-6 students will soon be heading out for a curling experience, and we are hoping our amazing Pine Street families can help!
We are looking for CSA-certified hockey or ringette helmets that are in good condition and not expired. If you have a helmet tucked away at home that is no longer being used, we would gladly accept it as a donation for our school curling program.
Donations can be sent to the office at any time over the next few weeks.
Thank you for helping make these opportunities possible for our students. Your generosity and support are always appreciated!
Halloween Celebrations at Pine Street Elementary
We are excited to celebrate Halloween at Pine Street Elementary on Friday, October 30. Students are welcome to wear their costumes for the school day as we enjoy a fun and festive celebration together.
As families plan costumes, please ensure they do not include weapons or weapon-like props. We also ask families to keep in mind that Pine Street is an elementary school with many younger students, so costumes should be school-appropriate and not overly scary.
Following lunch, we will hold our Halloween Parade at 12:30. Families are welcome to attend and enjoy seeing students dressed up in their costumes. Families are welcome to gather in the gymnasium starting at 12:25.
Halloween Family Dance!
When: Friday, October 30 6-8PM
Happy October Pine Street families! We are excited to invite you to our Halloween Family Dance for a chilling good time 🎃
There will be a concession with chips, water, candy and glow sticks. Everything is $1 so please bring cash.
Tickets are available on Healthy Hunger for only $5 each!
**Not to spook you 👻 but this is NOT a supervised event which means parents MUST attend and MUST have their own ticket.**
As always, we can never survive the night without our parent volunteers in the concession! Please e-mail pinestreeteventscouncil@gmail.com if you’re willing to work a shift! We need
4 volunteers for 6-7pm
4 volunteers for 7-8pm
Thank you so much in advance to our incredibly loyal and helpful families that support us during these dances!
We are so excited to see everyone there 👻👻👻
Grade 3 Citizenship Project!
CHIP DAY!
Our Grade 3 students are excited to kick off a citizenship project connected to our Social Studies curriculum! On October 23rd, we will have a “Chip Day” at lunchtime where students can purchase a small bag of chips for $2. At this time, we cannot provide change, so please bring in exactly $2. Our Grade 3 students will take turns running the chip table and working together to support a charity of their choice. Throughout the year, students will learn about citizenship, leadership, teamwork, and the importance of giving back to our community. All money raised will be donated to their chosen charity at the end of the school year. We will let you know about upcoming chip days. We can’t wait to see our Grade 3 students make a difference!
