Pink Elementary - July 2026
The Palominos Press: October 11, 2026
A Note from Ms. Hernandez
Dear Palominos Families, & Supporters!
Thank you for another amazing week at Pink Elementary! As we close out the first nine weeks, families can expect updated student grades next week.
Please take a moment to check Skyward and stay connected with your child’s teacher regarding grades, assignments, and opportunities for support. At Pink Elementary, we are committed to partnering with families to help every Palomino succeed.
Reminders & Expectations
We are dedicated to maintaining a safe, respectful environment where every student can learn and every teacher can teach. Please help us reinforce the following expectations:
Tardies: We are seeing too many students arrive late to school. Every instructional minute matters, and arriving late disrupts learning for both the student and the classroom. Campus consequences will be implemented to address excessive tardies. Please ensure your child arrives on time and is ready to begin the school day before 7:45 am.
Attendance: Our campus attendance continues to fall below our 95% goal. Texas compulsory attendance law requires enrolled students to attend school each day for the entire instructional period. When a student’s absences violate compulsory attendance requirements, the campus will initiate required truancy-prevention measures and, when legally required, file the appropriate truancy referral or complaint. Regular attendance is essential to your child’s academic success. Students cannot learn if they are not in class.
Classroom Behavior: This week, we’ve seen an increase in classroom disruptions that prevent teachers from teaching and students from learning. Let me be clear — learning is our top priority.
Students who disrupt instruction, refuse to follow directions, or create an environment where others cannot learn will face disciplinary consequences aligned with the severity of their behavior. Our teachers work hard to provide high-quality, Tier 1 instruction, and they deserve classrooms filled with students who are respectful, focused, and ready to learn. I’m asking every parent to have a conversation with their child about the importance of being engaged and following classroom expectations. When we partner together, we can uphold a culture where every student can thrive.
We appreciate your continued partnership in keeping Pink Elementary a safe, focused, and high-performing learning community where every Palomino can thrive.
Enjoy your Fall Break, Pink Palominos!
