Mr. Powers Notes
2026 has started off cold and snowy and has required a lot of us to make changes when it comes to school. This serves as a reminder that when we are conducting eLearning days for our BRCP students, that students must complete schoolwork assigned by the instructor on the day it is assigned. The work the students have to complete its review work or assessments that are over classwork recently reviewed in class. By developing good habits of completing work when assigned while in high school, it will help set them up for success when they enter the workforce due to meeting deadlines from there employer. I am confident that winter is not done yet and there will continue to be changes to our daily schedule. We encourage everyone to follow us on Facebook and Twitter at Blue River Career Programs along with signing up for Parent Square notifications and messages for up-to-date information. Take care and stay warm!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, you may reach me at 317-392-4191 ex. 1101 or jpowers@brcp.k12.in.us

During February, the CTE community celebrates CTE Month® to raise awareness of the role that CTE has in preparing students for careers and college. It is also a time to recognize and celebrate the CTE community members’ achievements and accomplishments nationwide. Led by a variety of CTE groups and spearheaded by the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), the month is organized around a different theme each year.
