Spotlight on Staff
We have new and familiar faces at Providencia to support our students, staff and families! Please read about them below!
Marineh Danookh, Community Resource Assistant
Marineh Danookh joined Burbank Unified School District three years ago and is excited to continue serving the Providencia school community in her new role as a Community Resource Assistant.
She values building strong relationships with students, families, and staff and enjoys helping others feel welcomed, supported, and connected. In her new role, she looks forward to helping families access community resources and services that can contribute to their students’ success. Because she is new in the office, she may ask for your identification card before she releases your child to you. Ms. Danookh is fluent in Armenian and English.
Ms. Danookh is grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting the students and families of Providencia School and looks forward to making a meaningful contribution to the school community.
Alicia Robinson, Behavior Interventionist
My name is Alicia Robinson, and I am excited to be entering my fifth year with the Burbank Unified School District as a Behavior Interventionist.
Before joining the BUSD family four years ago, I gained extensive behavioral expertise in clinical settings, working with individuals with developmental challenges from early intervention all the way through adulthood.
Prior to finding my passion in special education, I also served as a social service provider, supporting diverse populations across many areas of community need.
I look forward to partnering with all of you this year to support our students' behavioral, social, and emotional growth!
Alexia Lukic, Wellness Specialist
Aleksia Lukic has been serving students in BUSD for 19 years across multiple school sites and grade levels through her work as a Response to Intervention Teacher, ASES Program Coordinator and Intervention Specialist.
In her current role as Wellness Specialist, she supports students throughout the district at Providencia, Disney and Miller Elementary schools. Ms. Lukic is committed to creating connections with each student and is an enthusiastic supporter of PBIS which provides our students with the guidance to develop their character, build relationships and share positive contributions with their community.
She is thrilled to support the students of Providencia with their social emotional growth, assisting them with their empathy and emotional awareness, as well as their problem solving and social skills. She is scheduled to be at Providencia on Mondays.
APEX Fundraiser Continues
Pledge and Share to Help Raise Money for our School!
If you haven't logged in to your student's fundraiser page yet, now is a great time. Head to myapexevent.com and enter the access code from the VIP Badge that came home after the pep rally last week. Inside, you'll find their personal page, leadership videos, and everything you need to share and pledge. Can't find the badge? Email your child's teacher and they'll send the info right over!
Can our SUPER Hero parents reach all 50 states? We think so! 💛
Share your student's pledge link with anyone you know outside our state such as family, old friends, coworkers and college roommates.
People from anywhere in the world can pledge, and every single one helps our school.
Let's see how far we can reach!

4th and 5th Grade Safety Valet Program
In order to improve the safety and efficiency of the morning traffic flow, we are pleased to introduce the Safety Valet Program this school year.
Each morning parents who drive their children to school proceed single file through a coned-off area on Pacific Avenue and stop close to the curb. When parents reach the drop-off area, 4th and 5th grade student valets will assist by opening car doors and helping children to the sidewalk. Student valets will only assist cars from the curbside.
If your 4th or 5th grader expresses interest in being a part of the Safety Valet program, students must commit to:
- work one-week rotations
- must arrive at school by 8:00 am and
- must demonstrate good behavior
If you approve of your child’s participation, please sign and return the linked permission slip no later than Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The Burbank Police Department will provide training for the safety valets, parent volunteers and campus supervisors.
Thank you for your assistance in supporting a truly beneficial program!
