High School Update - September 4, 2025
Dear High School Families,
We are eagerly looking forward to our high school retreat next week! The excitement is already building—several students showed off their grade-level colors at school yesterday to help set the tone for what will be a meaningful time of fellowship, renewal, and fun.
This week’s newsletter is full of important updates. Dance passes are now on sale—make sure to purchase yours early, as prices will increase at the door. Mr. Agrimson also began handing out information packets to students interested in the Orlando Mission Trip. The packet is attached below for your convenience, and please note that the dates for this trip are June 1–5, 2026. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to Mr. Agrimson directly.
Finally, intramurals during W.I.N. Time will begin next week! Students interested in participating need to complete the sign-up form included in this newsletter. We are excited to provide this opportunity for students to build community, stay active, and have fun together.

High School Chapel Update - September 2
Over the summer, a number of students from the chapel committee and staff came together to discuss the needs of the students in regard to our chapel experience. We prayed and agreed that it was necessary to dedicate a chapel to learn more about what scripture says about the Holy Spirit. We reached out to pastor Dustin Sherry, Next Gen Youth Pastor at Living Word, to see if he would be willing to share on the topic, and he graciously said yes.
Pastor Dustin dug deep into scripture with the students and emphasized the importance of all believers to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be witnesses of Christ. This week, we will also take the time during our D-Groups to read scripture together on the topic. Students were excited after chapel and are eager to hear more about the Holy Spirit in the future.
Below are the verses that were referenced in chapel this week:
Acts 1:4–5 (ESV)
Acts 1:8 (Amplified Classic)
Acts 2:1–18 (ESV)
Acts 2:42–47 (ESV)
Acts 3:1–10 (ESV)
Acts 19:1–7 (ESV)
1 Corinthians 14:5 (ESV)
1 Corinthians 14:39 (ESV)
Mark 16:16–18 (ESV)
1 Corinthians 13:8–9 (ESV)
1 Corinthians 14:2 (ESV)
1 Corinthians 14:4 (ESV)
1 Corinthians 14:8 (ESV)
Jude 20 (ESV)
1 Corinthians 12:1–11 (ESV)

Summer 2026 High School Mission's Trip - Orlando

High School Retreat Information - September 12
We’re excited for our all-high school student retreat to Camp Ihduhapi on Friday, September 12!
Students will travel by bus at the start of the school day and return before dismissal. This year’s retreat theme, “40:31,” along with the key word “renew,” is drawn from our school year theme verse, Isaiah 40:31: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
The heart behind the retreat aligns with our Culture in Action focus of becoming Kingdom Community Builders. Our prayer is that students will deepen their relationships with one another and grow closer to the Lord as we explore the theme throughout the retreat, as well as during Chapel and D-group time before and after the event.
Part of 40:31 will be dividing the grades into class colors. We are highly encouraging students to go all-out (maintaining our modesty standards) in their class color for a full-filled day! The class colors are as follows:
- Grade 9: Yellow
- Grade 10: Green
- Grade 11: Blue
- Grade 12: Pink
The cost for the retreat is $30 and will be billed to FACTS accounts as the date approaches.
