RHS Newsletter
Each week, our students share what's going on at RHS. Please review this week's RHS Student Newsletter: RHS Newsletter 1.16.26
Reminders
At the start of each year/semester, we share important reminders of various school rules, policies, etc. That will be true again for semester two (next week's newsletter), but there are a few reminders that we want to "get on your radar" now:
- Semester one exams are next week (schedule below). Make sure you are here every day, and on time, so you can do your best on exams.
- You are expected to be in school all day; not just when you have an exam. This means you shouldn't expect your parents to call you in late, or out early. Parents, if your child has a scheduled appointment during school hours next week, please be sure to inform the main office at least 24 hours in advance. We will also ask that you have your child receive and submit a doctor's/dentist/etc. note the next school day.
- Also, remember that hall passes are limited during exams. Take care of what needs to be done before school, after school, or during passing time.
- No food/drink in classrooms (ie. water only). We have seen a growing number of students stopping for some "specialty drink" (Starbucks, Tim Horton's, etc.) before school. If you choose to do this, that's totally fine. Just remember that you need to do this early enough so you can finish your beverage and still be to class on time.
- Teachers have been instructed that they are not to allow any food/drinks into the classroom other than water.

Counselors' Corner
Your CTE Pathway Classes Can Earn You College Credit!!
Many colleges offer articulation credit to students who complete a state-approved CTE program in high school. (Which almost all Romeo students do, and many students complete multiple pathways!) This means you may be able to earn college credit or skip introductory courses in the field you’re pursuing, saving both time and money!
However, colleges don’t always award these credits automatically. You must ask! When meeting with your college counselor or advisor, be sure to tell them about the CTE pathway program(s) you completed here at Romeo and ask if it qualifies for articulation credit. Advocate for yourself! Your Romeo CTE experience could already be paying off!

Link to pay graduation fee - This fee provides the student with 2 tickets for the graduation ceremony and helps to pay for graduation itself. Students that do not pay this fee will not receive any tickets to graduation nor be able to purchase additional tickets.
