McBride students will be participating in ACAP state testing on the dates listed below. We kindly ask that you avoid scheduling trips or doctor appointments during this time to ensure your child is present for testing. It is crucial that we achieve 100% participation. Thank you for your cooperation and support!

Testing Schedule:

• 3rd Grade Reading Test: March 18-19
• 4th & 5th Grade Reading Test: April 8-9
• All Students - ACAP Math Test: April 15-16
• 4th Grade Science Test: April 22-23

A few weeks ago, we celebrated our students’ achievement of earning a 96 on the state report card! We are so proud of our students, who are becoming leaders right before our eyes. It was fantastic to see them sitting together with their houses—Altruismo, Amistad, Isibindi, and Reveur—showing true school spirit as we celebrated academic achievement from the 2nd nine weeks.

They say, “it takes a village to raise a child” and we are so proud of the village we call Muscle Shoals . Our community is full of parents who truly invest in the lives of our children.

A huge thank you to our PTO parents for their support and to Mr. Harold Tisdale and Mr. Ishmael Pruitt for their inspiring skit that aligned with our theme, “Journey to the Top.” We would also like to give a special shoutout to “Mixed Entertainment All- Star DJ’s” for the great music!

Mrs. Callahan truly embodies dedication and excellence in her role as one of our school secretaries. From answering the phone with a smile to assisting guests and ensuring everything runs smoothly at McBride Elementary, her hard work makes a difference every single day.

The volleyball coaches will walk the McBride students over from the McBride Gym to the Middle School Gym for camp.

• 12:00 -- Howell Graves Preschool, Early Learning Center, and McBride Elementary School

At the August 27 meeting, the Board of Education approved the superintendent's recommendation to move the spring weather makeup day from April 18, 2025 to April 25, 2025. Please make a note of this on your calendar.

Schools will now be open for regular classes on April 18, 2025.
