Whether you use one activity a week or dive in daily, March Mania helps you keep students engaged without reinventing the wheel.
✨ Bonus: It’s a great way to provide extra support in your classroom without adding to your workload.
Gemini (AI) Integration in Google Workspace
Gemini features are now embedded in most Google Workspace apps for all Educator accounts. Additional features will slowly be rolling out over the next few months including access to Gemini (Chat). You can try out some of the embedded AI features now! Tip: Use Gemini to "Beautify" your Google Slide Presentations.
The Gemini Chat feature (similar to ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) will soon be available to all PUSD staff accounts. Because this will be part of our internal/closed system, you will be able to use it to analyze data, write emails, plan lessons, and more.
Help Desk Tips & Tricks
The PUSD Help Desk is happy to support you with any technical issues you may be experiencing, including issues with your computer, WiFi, Promethean Board, accounts, and more. We understand that these issues may be urgent and frustrating. We ask that all communication be courteous and solution-focused, and our team will always do our best to assist you as efficiently as possible.
Internet Connection Troubleshooting
If you are having trouble accessing the internet, try these quick steps before contacting ITS:
1. Check your connection
- Make sure you are connected to PUSD-Secure Wi-Fi.
- If you use a docking station, confirm that the Ethernet cable is plugged in.
- You can also try unplugging and reconnecting cables, such as the power cable and Ethernet cable, to make sure everything is securely connected.
2. Restart your computer
- Restarting often reconnects your device to the network and fixes temporary issues.
3. Try another website or service
- Check whether other websites or online services are working.
- Sometimes the issue may be with one specific website or app, not your internet connection.
4. Check with colleagues
- Ask nearby staff if they are having the same issue.
- If only your device is affected, it is likely a device-specific issue.
- If multiple people in the same office or classroom are affected, it may be a site network issue.
- If multiple schools or departments are affected, it may be a district-wide issue.
5. Try another location
- If you are on Wi-Fi, try moving to another office or room to see if the connection improves.
- This can help determine whether the issue is related to wireless coverage in that area.
6. Report the issue
- Submit a Helpdesk ticket through the portal when possible.
- If you cannot submit a ticket because the internet is down, please call the Helpdesk or inform your office manager so they can report it.
When reporting the issue, please include your site, room number, and whether others are affected.
