"Fall" into Learning!

"And all at once, summer collapsed into fall."

-Oscar Wilde

The equinox has now passed, and there's no ignoring the chillier temps! Fall is my favorite season, with its bright and ever-changing colors, exciting outdoor activities, and just the general comfort of being back in the school routine. The classrooms are full of energy and curiosity as students embrace the opportunities to grow and explore. We look forward to this season filled with learning!

Every year, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education recognizes a small number of schools who have demonstrated significant progress on their MCAS accountability targets. Essex Elementary was one of 57 schools in the entire state to receive this recognition! This truly highlights the impact that our educators are making each day!

Students' individual MCAS scores will be mailed home in October.
