A Message from Ms. Osmerg
Dear Jaguar Families,
I hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable Labor Day weekend! It’s hard to believe we’re already beginning Week 5 of the school year.
Next week, you’ll be able to view your child’s 4.5-week progress report. I encourage you to regularly check Campus Parent to stay informed about your child’s assignments and grades. If you ever have questions or concerns about your child’s academic performance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to their teacher—we’re here to support you.
Over the summer, I shared that the murals in our gym and learning commons were painted over due to age. I’m thrilled to announce that over the next two weeks, a muralist will be creating beautiful new artwork in the gym, learning commons, and music hallway! Below is a picture of her starting the process of painting the murals! During this time, our carpool dismissal process will be temporarily adjusted. All carpool students will be dismissed from the cafeteria and will exit through the front doors of the school.
Finally, a separate email has been sent regarding updates to our additional allocations. For your convenience, the letter is also attached below.
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support. We’re grateful to have you as part of our Jaguar family!
Have a #AHE-mazing week!
Jill Osmerg
PTA News
PTA Needs Your Support!
We’re incredibly proud that 100% of our amazing staff have already joined the PTA—but we still need you! So far, only 132 of our approximately 400 families have signed up, which means we’re at just 33% participation.
The PTA plays a vital role in making our school community vibrant and fun through events like Donuts with a Grownup, the Sweetheart Dance, and many more throughout the year. But we can’t do it without your help!
Joining the PTA is easy and does not require any volunteer time. Your membership is simply a financial contribution that helps fund the events and programs our kids love.
🎉 Join by September 15 and be entered in our Back-to-School Membership Drive Raffle:
- 🥇 Grand Prize: $75 Amazon gift card for your family + $75 for your child’s teacher
- 🥈 Second Prize: $50 Amazon gift card + book vending machine token
- 🥉 Third Prize: $25 Amazon gift card + book vending machine token

Optional Device Insurance - Updated Instructions!
We are excited to share a new, simpler way for parents to sign up for the Optional Device Protection Plan for student devices. This plan provides families with affordable protection against accidental damage, loss, or theft of district-issued devices.
To support families, we’ve developed multiple resources:
- Step-by-step written instructions for different parent scenarios:
- New Parents / Parents adding a student to their household
- Existing Parents with a Parent Portal account
- New Parents creating a New Parent Portal account
- A short video walkthrough showing parents exactly how to complete the process.
These resources will also be posted on the FCS Strategy and Technology webpage for easy access.

Important Update: The signup window for families has been extended through September 26, 2025.
*After the close of the extended signup window families can still contact the Technology Support Center at 470-254-HELP (4357) to sign up for the plan. However, the local school-based Technology Support Specialist will inspect the device prior to initiating the coverage.
