The Weekly Highlander
Volume #12
A Message from the Principal
This week at Hewes, we had many activities, including Cross Country City Finals, PTA Fun Friday at lunch, and a visit from Mini, the therapy dog. ASB is sponsoring the holiday food drive, with donations going to a Tustin organization to feed families at Thanksgiving. The flyer in this newsletter lists the items requested from students in each grade level. The first-period class that brings in the most food will win a GaGa Ball & Donut party for their class. MONDAY is the last day to bring in food donations! Please also support Hewes ASB by going to Chick-fil-A on Tuesday, November 19th, for dinner. The flyer is in this newsletter and will also be pushed out on Instagram.
Save the date, Thursday, December 5th for a fun night of holiday cheer at Hewes. There will be food trucks starting at 4:45 pm with the last call at 6:30 pm. We will be holding the annual Holiday Bazaar from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, where student electives are selling the items they have made in their classes. Please bring CASH to make your purchases, we are unable to accept electronic payments. There will be a free band and choir concert starting at 7 pm to round out the evening. Come out, have dinner, do some holiday shopping, and stay for the concert on December 5th.
Please stay connected to Hewes by checking our website and following us on Instagram @heweshighlanders for the latest information and news.
