Dear CCTC Families,

Wow! Time flies when you're having fun! I cannot believe we are already half way through Semester One!

Thank you so much for sharing your children with us! I am so grateful to have the most amazing students and staff in CCPS!

I want to take a minute to remind everyone about the importance of students being to school on time, each day. If your child needs to stay home, please be sure to turn in a note within ten school days with a lawful reason for their absence. Maryland State Department of Education recognizes good attendance as ten or fewer absences per school year.

Communication is key, so if you have questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at:

Respectfully,

Mrs. Handte

CCTC Principal

School & Community Based Afterschool & Summer Program Offerings

In Summer 2022, Caroline County Public Schools (CCPS) engaged the services of FourPoint Education Partners, with support from the Maryland Leads Initiative, to assess and recommend strategies for strengthening and expanding school- and community-based afterschool and summer program offerings. As part of this review, FourPoint Education is conducting surveys with students, parents, and teachers to collect feedback on afterschool and summer programs and activities. Survey data will be a critical component of the findings and recommendations provided by the FourPoint team.

The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Please provide candid feedback. Your responses will be completely confidential. Please complete the survey by December 7th. Thank you for your participation in and support for this effort.

Click this link to begin the survey.

Students are nominated weekly for our READY Student Spotlight! If they are nominated by their teacher, they will receive an email and they will be highlighted on Facebook. One student from each Program will be randomly selected each month for the "CCTC Student of the Month!" These students will receive an incentive. We get feedback from students on the incentives that most interest them.

Staff members are also nominated by their fellow staff members at CCTC! These staff members are our monthly READY Staff Champion and they get to park in a special parking lot, receive the READY Staff Champion Belt for the month and get a favorite special treat!

CCTC Halloween Lantern Project a Hit with Staff

CCTC Halloween Lantern Project a Hit with Staff

The Caroline Career and Technology Center (CCTC) Construction Technology Program combined instruction with fundraising for Halloween. Under the direction of teacher Mr. Dennis Hall, students created models of Halloween lanterns in a variety of designs and colors. Once all designs were finalized, the product was then marketed to CCPS staff.
