SPOTSYCTC WEEKLY UPDATE
The Week Ending May 10 2024
Principal's Message
Good Friday Evening SPOTSYCTC Community,
At SpotsyCTC, we have outstanding students and staff whose hard work and dedication never go unnoticed. We are thrilled for our 2024 graduates and wish them the best of luck as they finish this chapter and start the next one.
This week was a busy week at SpotsyCTC. We had the opportunity to celebrate Happy Teacher Appreciation Week and Nurses Week! A huge thank you to our amazing staff who help put everything together to make this week special for our teachers.
We also had a wonderful time at our completer ceremonies this week—what amazing students we have! It's always a joy to celebrate their achievements whenever we can. Thanks to Chef and her students for the delicious cupcakes and for letting us take over the café this week.
It was a busy week with so many events. Along with the completer ceremonies, our HCT students had their pinning ceremony during Germanna Community College's graduation. All of our HCT students completed their dual enrollment classes through Germanna, and three of them even earned their Associate’s degrees. Those students will be sitting for the CNA at the end of May.
We also celebrated our Teachers for Tomorrow II students on Thursday night, which was a fantastic event. We're excited to see where this program goes next! Also, our JROTC Drill Team had a great showing this past weekend at the Army Drill Nationals, where they placed 5th in Unarmed Inspection and were 16th overall at the national level.
I couldn't be prouder of our students for their dedication and accomplishments. And, of course, a heartfelt thank you to our staff for their unwavering commitment and support in helping us all achieve our goals.
SkillsUSA is working on raising money to send 4 students to National Competitions in Atlanta Georgie, if you are interested in donating, you can do so at the following link: http://raise.snap.app/join_code/921448381 Thank You in advance for your support.
The safety of our students is a top priority. A friendly reminder to all our young drivers: Remember to fasten your seatbelt, reduce your speed, and stow away your phone while driving.
Each week we will take the opportunity to spotlight our students, staff, programs and schools through our newsletters, social media platforms, school announcements and video boards. Stay connected with us through our social media platforms:

At the SpotsyCTC we like to think we stands out as something truly special – we proudly cater to students from all five exceptional high schools and present an array of 19 distinct programs, 9 defined pathways and 24 industry-recognized credentials. Our overarching mission is to equip every student with the readiness to venture into the workforce, pursue higher education, engage in training programs, or even serve in the military. Through immersive, hands-on classroom experiences, we provide students with real-world skills and enable them to dive into Workplace Learning, Job Shadowing, Internship/Externship programs, Student Organizations, and a host of other enriching avenues.
Good luck to all of our students who are participating in activities this weekend and next week. I know we have so many students who are involved in the fine arts, sports, clubs, outside events and other extracurricular activities. This journey requires substantial extra time, countless hours of preparation and a skillful juggling of academics, personal life and sometimes work commitments. Good Luck and continued success and remember The Power of Little Things, Transforming into Big Achievements"!
Please be careful this weekend, especially with the anticipation of heavy rain in the area. I hope you find some time to unwind, recharge, and enjoy precious moments with loved ones. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday.
