ASE Winter Schedules
The Winter Schedules for all ASE Locations are Here:
ASE Student/Staff Of The Week
Each Week, MCS would like to recognize some outstanding individuals from our ASE programs. This Week, meet our Glover and Tucker ASE students and staff members of the week!
Glover ASE Student of the Week: Georgie E.
Georgie Eilas is a second grade student at Glover ASE. "My favorite part of after school is that I get to play with my friends," said Georgie. His favorite class in school is Gym. When he grows ups, Georgie wants to be a policeman. His favorite color is Orange and his favorite TV show is "Lego Ninjago."
Glover ASE Staff of the Week: Ms. Shirley Jackson
Ms. Shirley Jackson loves working at ASE to interact with the children. Her previous experience includes running a group home working with individuals with development disabilities. She then retired. After the loss of her husband, Ms. Jackson was looking for a new opportunity to get out of the house which is what led her to Glover ASE! She believes this job has educated her about different diversities and cultures. Her favorite color is red and her favorite movie is "The Equalizer." Fun Fact: her birthday is Thursday, 12/23. Happy Birthday Ms. Shirley!
Tucker Student of the Week: Seraphim Manson
Seraphim Manson is a fourth grade student at Tucker ASE. "My favorite part of ASE is the fact that we have time to do our homework but also that we have time to have fun." Her Favorite subject in school is either Science or Math. When she grows up, Seraphim would like to be a Sports Commentator for her favorite sport, Hockey. Seraphim's favorite color is blue and favorite show is "Umbrella Academy." Fun Fact: in her free time, Seraphim sews and makes origami. She loves to make origami frogs!
Tucker Staff of the Week: Ms. Barbara Roye
Ms. Barbara Roye is originally from Milton and a MPS graduate through and through! She has worked at all Milton schools for 20 years. She enjoys working at Tucker because it is fun to work at a school that she previously attended. Ms. Roye loves ASE because "it's fun and it keeps you young. We can give the children attention that they maybe don't get in other places and teach them some things that they haven't learned before." At ASE, she loves to do dancing, drama, and put on shows with the students. Ms. Roye says that the students "teach me all the modern stuff. I learn all that's going on through the kids. They help me out, even with the computer, and everything. They teach me and I learn stuff from them that I don't know." Her favorite color is blue. Ms. Roye says that she is a more of a reader than a Movie/TV watcher. She enjoys the "Lord Of The Rings" series because she has read it as a child, young adult, and then again as an adult. "When you read books like that over again, things you didn't understand when you were younger, you understand when you're older and see the story in a whole new way." Fun Fact: in her free time, Ms. Roye enjoys crocheting and gardening!
