Message From School Administration Message From School Administration

Dear Lisbon Families,

Next week is sure to be an exciting one!

Kindergarten Registration opens on Monday, March 2, for children born between September 2, 2020, and September 1, 2021. If you have a rising kindergartener, we encourage you to register early, as it helps us prepare to welcome our newest Lisbon Lions! Please also help us spread the word to neighbors and friends. Fully registered incoming kindergarten students will be invited to a special event during the school day in May, so be sure to complete your registration as soon as possible. If you need assistance, please contact our front office—we are happy to help!

We are also kicking off an exciting Reading Week beginning Monday, March 2! Students will participate in a variety of engaging activities designed to help them better understand how their brains support the reading process. We hope you have marked your calendars for our Harry Potter Reading Night on Thursday, March 5. It’s not too late to RSVP! Please see the link below for reservation details and additional information about next week’s celebrations.

Finally, we are excited to bring back our Read-a-Thon school fundraiser! Next week we will be sharing information about how to participate in the Read-A-Thon, including exciting incentives that students and classes can earn. Funds raised from last year have greatly enriched our students’ experiences in the following ways:

  • Purchasing new recess equipment

  • Birthday pencils

  • Supplemental classroom materials

  • PBIS incentives

  • Family holiday support

  • Family outreach events

  • Assemblies

  • Field trip supplements to reduce costs for families

  • Launching our new Brag Tag program

  • Pump It Up Recess with a special Rita’s treat—and much more!

Thank you for your support.

Have a great weekend,

Dr. Carr & Mr. Scobie
