We look forward to seeing everyone again! Here is some information to help begin the year.

Classroom Assignments - These will be available on Friday, July 31, by 10am in Infinite Campus. Emails from your child’s teacher will be sent out on Thursday, August 6.

Express Check-In is a Douglas County School District application that allows parents to update household information, sign off on district forms, update health conditions and select school fees. This application helps prevent families from manually entering in a full batch of information for numerous children in the household when checking in prior to the start of the school year. Please have this completed by August 12 (first day of school).

Balanced Beginnings for Kindergarten Balanced Beginnings for Kindergarten

Douglas County School District implements a special transition process for our Kindergarten students called Balanced Beginnings. The first days of school will be staggered, with smaller groups of students coming in rather than the entire class. This eases the transition into Kindergarten and allows teachers and students to build positive relationships, introduce the new environment and routines, and collect informal data as they begin their year with students.

Parents will have the ability to sign up for their Kindergartner on one of the following days:

Wednesday, August 12, or Thursday, August 13. These online sign-ups will be available once class assignments are released on Friday, July 31 after 10 am. Look for the links in an upcoming update. The first full day of Kindergarten for all students will be Friday, August 14.

New Families to LTE New Families to LTE

At the end of our “settle-in” time at 9 am on the first day of school, Mindy Persichina, Principal, will be available in our Learning Commons (library) to answer any questions for our families new to Lone Tree Elementary.

  • On August 12 this is available to families new to LTE with students in any grade level.

  • On August 13 this is available to Kindergarten families starting the year with Balanced Beginnings on Thursday.
