The month of August has been full of welcoming new and returning faces, practicing the school-wide expectations of showing we are: Safe, Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn! Students are doing a fantastic job being great citizens and great learners! We have jumped headlong into learning and have a focus on being strong readers and mathematicians! A way you can help students at home is by reading with your student every night and practicing math facts! Please continue to watch Dojo for specific information about what your student is learning weekly!

El mes de agosto ha estado lleno de bienvenidas para caras nuevas y conocidas, mientras practicamos las expectativas escolares de demostrar que somos: seguros, respetuosos, responsables y estamos listos para aprender. ¡Los estudiantes están haciendo un trabajo fantástico como buenos ciudadanos y excelentes alumnos! Nos hemos sumergido en el aprendizaje, con un enfoque especial en convertirnos en lectores y matemáticos competentes. Una forma de ayudar a los estudiantes en casa es leer con ellos cada noche y practicar las operaciones matemáticas básicas. ¡Por favor, sigan consultando Dojo para obtener información específica sobre lo que su hijo está aprendiendo cada semana!

This year we are adding to awards and celebrations!

• Student of the Month: Highlighting a student who shows they are READY TO LEARN!
• Scholar of the Month: Highlighting a student who is making academic progress or excelling!
• Student/Family Perfect Attendance: Student with perfect attendance (drawn) for the month and their family will be highlighted and given a gift card!
• Golden Awards presented to a class from each Related Arts Class and Cafe!

¡Este año añadimos a nuestros reconocimientos y celebraciones!

• Estudiante del Mes: ¡Reconoceremos a un estudiante que demuestra estar listo para aprender!
• Alumno del Mes: ¡Reconoceremos a un estudiante que está progresando académicamente o sobresaliendo!
• Asistencia Perfecta (Estudiante/Familia): ¡Se reconocerá al estudiante con asistencia perfecta del mes (elegido por sorteo) y a su familia, y recibirán una tarjeta de regalo!
• Premios "Golden Awards": Se otorgarán a una clase de cada asignatura de artes complementarias y del comedor.

• ALL students must enter doors on the inside middle lane where staff can have line-of-sight.
• Students may not cross in front of cars to get in on the outside of the lane.
• Parents/Guardians/Drivers, please stay in your vehicles.
• If a student cannot get in and out of a vehicle independently, please park in the front parking lot and pick your student up so you can assist them.
• If your student misses their number, you will be asked to pull around to the front office, bring your car tag, and pick up your student in the front office.

• Todos los estudiantes deben entrar por las puertas del lado de el carril central interior, donde el personal pueda verlos directamente.
• Los estudiantes no deben cruzar por delante de los vehículos para subir o bajar por el lado exterior del carril.
• Les pedimos a los padres, tutores y conductores que permanezcan dentro de sus vehículos. Si un estudiante no puede subir o bajar del vehículo por sí mismo, por favor estacione en el estacionamiento delantero y recoja al estudiante allí para poder ayudarlo.
• Si su estudiante no logra ver su numero a tiempo, se le pedirá que se dirija a la oficina principal, lleve la tarjeta de identificación de su vehículo y recoja al estudiante en la oficina.

• Due to having a grant that allows us to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students, every day, no outside food or drinks are allowed. Thank you for helping us keep this wonderful grant at CVES!
• Reminder that doors open at 6:45 am and instruction starts at 7:15.
• Please notify the school immediately if there is a change in your address, telephone number, person to contact in an emergency, or person(s) allowed to pick up your child. Please ensure the office has the most up-to-date copy of any court documents such as custody agreements or parenting plans.

• Gracias a una subvención que nos permite ofrecer desayuno y almuerzo gratuitos a todos los estudiantes todos los días, no se permite traer alimentos ni bebidas de fuera. ¡Gracias por ayudarnos a mantener esta maravillosa subvención en CVES!
• Les recordamos que las puertas se abren a las 6:45 a. m. y las clases comienzan a las 7:15 a. m.
• Por favor, notifique a la escuela de inmediato si hay algún cambio en su dirección, número de teléfono, contacto de emergencia o en las personas autorizadas para recoger a su hijo. Asimismo, asegúrese de que la oficina cuente con la copia más reciente de cualquier documento judicial, como acuerdos de custodia o planes de crianza.
