Raider Families:

We are so excited to start our 26 - 27 school year tomorrow, August 6. We wanted to remind everyone to look up their first period teacher prior to 8:25 am tomorrow morning. We will have schedules printed for students in 1st period. We just want to make sure everyone knows where to report for 1st period. We will ensure you have a schedule for the rest of the day.

If your student does not have a first period class scheduled or has a "see counselor" for 1st period in their schedule, please have your student report to the HUB.

Also, we will be running a 7-period day bell schedule on Thursday and Friday.

We are so excited that we have been able to put Raider Time back in the bell schedule. Please see below for the schedule for your student Monday - Friday. Please note that we run a modified schedule of 7-period (skinny) days M, Tu, and TH and block days on Wednesday (even periods) and Thursday (odd periods).

CLARIFICATION:

We shared some incorrect information in our Raider Rush parent sessions on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. The Chromebook Accidental Damage Coverage is $25 not $20. Please note the change if you are planning to purchase this coverage for your child's Chromebook. Just a reminder that this has to be purchased each year for valid coverage.

Dear Parents/Guardians of student.firstName student.lastName,

FCS is excited about this upcoming school year! We have deployed parent permission forms to all Parent Portal accounts. All forms have important information and need to be reviewed carefully. Please click here for basic instructions about how to sign forms in Parent Portal. See below for a list of the permission forms that need to be completed by August 18, 2026.

All students have the following forms to be completed:

* Parent Permissions,

* Distraction Free Policy,

* Instructional Affirmation Form, and

* Optional Library Book Notification - Only sign if you want notifications from the media center regarding the books your student checks out.

Students taking specific classes or in specific grades have the following forms to be completed:

* Fit Georgia Form - for students taking PE classes in grades 1 - 12,

* Sex Ed Permission - for students taking Health in grades 6 - 12,

* CTAE/Fine Arts Safety Form - for students taking CTAE or Theatre classes in grades 6 -12,

* Chromebook Permission Form - All 6th grade students and new students in grades 7 -12, and

* Scoliosis Denial Form - All 6th and 8th grade student.

If you would like for your child to eat breakfast and/or lunch please make sure that you put money on the account by adding funds on the MySchoolBucks website before August 6th. High schoolers can charge one lunch if their account is depleted. If the account continues to have a zero or negative balance, an alternative snack can be provided. This snack consists of vegetables, fruit, and a milk. Students are discreetly informed regarding the status of their lunch account as well as an alert is presented on MySchoolBucks. If interested in pursuing Free & Reduced Lunch, please visit the North Forsyth High School website, and click on Student Services. Once in Student Services, you will go to Food & Nutrition. This will provide a shortcut to the Forsyth County Schools website where the application can be completed. The NFHS cafeteria has one of the highest percentages among all schools in the district of student lunches served. This is an accomplishment that we are proud of. Our cafeteria has a variety of food selections and lines all for the price of $2.00 for breakfast and $3.75 for lunch. What are you waiting for, come eat!

Student bus information has been available in Infinite Campus since Friday, July 24th. This information can be found on the FCS website and in Infinite Campus.

Additionally, we need you to verify that your student will be riding the bus. Please use the link below to let us know to expect your student on the bus. If you are a new student it will take 48-72 hours for transportation to approve your riding request.

Parking Update (July 2026):

Parking Pass Applications will become available at 9AM on Thursday, July 30th, for the 26-27 school year for rising Seniors and Juniors only. The link to the application is on the school website under Student Services and then Parking Permits.

Items to note:

Parking is a privilege and students are not guaranteed a spot. Parking location is assigned based on the operational logistics of the school’s schedule. Extracurricular activities, grade level, and designations such as IE2, Work Based Learning, Honors Mentorship, out of district, and dual enrollment DO NOT guarantee preferential parking. If you do not follow parking rules or have any violations of the FCS/NFHS Code of Conduct, your permit could be revoked.

· Any student wishing to park on campus for the 26-27 school year must have a parking permit, this includes all students regardless of the number of classes they attend on campus.

· A completed application, signed parking contract, and payment must be completed and submitted before you can receive a parking permit.

· Parking spaces will be assigned in July to Seniors first and then Juniors that completed the application process before the deadline in the order the applications were received.

· Payments can be made using SchoolPay for $140 or check/cash payments for $135 turned in at the front office before the deadline.

· Please plan on attending North Forsyth High School's "Raider Day" on August 4th to receive parking permits.

· Sophomores will be able to apply on 8/17/26.

Partner Connect is Forsyth County Schools' partnership program that brings our community into the classroom and connects students to meaningful experiences beyond school. Through local businesses, organizations, and volunteers, students gain access to mentorship, career exploration, guest speakers, and other enriching opportunities.

Meet and Greet is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to connect with teachers, explore the school, and get excited about the upcoming school year. We invite all parents and guardians to join us as we welcome our students back and begin building strong partnerships that support student success. During this event, families will have the chance to meet teachers, learn about classroom expectations, receive important information, and ask general questions in a relaxed and welcoming environment. In addition, we will also have On-Demand Spanish translation services to support our parents that primarily speak a language other than English. We look forward to seeing you at Meet and Greet and working together to make this school year a successful and rewarding experience for every student.
