Notes from Mrs. Stone

Happy Friday, South Decatur Elementary families!

We hope you were able to join us or watch the livestream of our Veterans Day program. It’s one of our favorite days when our community comes together to honor the brave men and women who have served and are serving our country. Our students did an amazing job, and we have so much to be thankful for.

Next week our girls 5th and 6th grade teams will play North Decatur. We’ll be at home on Tuesday and travel to North Decatur on Thursday. We’d love to see you there to show your support! They’ve had a great season — thank you to the coaches, parents, and everyone who supports these girls.

Progress reports will go home on Friday next week. Please be on the lookout, and contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions.

We are still collecting items for the Cheer Fund Food Drive: fruit cups, applesauce cups, instant mashed potatoes, and self-contained snack foods. Donations will be accepted through 12/3.

Next Thursday is our All‑School Thanksgiving — another favorite day when we all sit down and have lunch together. Follow us on Facebook for pictures and updates throughout the week!

Please email me or call the office if you have any questions or if I can help with anything. Have a great weekend!
