UIL Area E Marching Competition

The UIL Area E Marching Contest is on Saturday, November 2nd at Wildcat Stadium. We will not be attending the Canyon Lake football game on Friday, November 1st. Comal ISD decided not to send bands from Canyon Lake HS or Davenport HS to that game.

Here are some important links with information about the UIL Area E Marching Competition

  • Rules and Itinerary
  • Ticket Sales - 4A Area E Marching Contest - Calallen
  • Hotel Room Assignments and Bus Seating Chart
  • Lineup of bands - 10 make finals, 5 advance to state
  • Alternate Travel Form - Must be turned in by Friday, November 1st to pick up your student after our final performance on Saturday

Tickets are only available online, and we strongly encourage you to purchase tickets ahead of time. Please arrive about 45 minutes prior to our performance time. There is limited parking at the stadium.

The top 10 bands out of 26 competing will advance from prelims to finals to perform again at night. This is a very competitive event as all bands had to qualify for this contest by earning a first division rating at the region level. The top 5 bands from finals will advance to the UIL State Marching Contest on November 1st at the Alamodome.

Wolf Band Philosophy on Competition

  • Have fun!
  • We only control our own work and performance.

  • We respect our competitors as peers and know they are working as hard as we are.

  • The judges are watching and listening to us with an open mind and a fair heart.

  • Placements and trophies are secondary to the feeling of SUPERIOR performances.

  • We accept ALL results with dignity and grace.

  • Jimmy John's - Sub Sandwich Choice of Ham, Turkey or Vito (Italian with Salami & Capocollo) with Chips and Cookie
