Hello Koala Readers and Families,

I'm so excited to be launching library newsletter. I will be sharing all of the wonderful things that we are working on in the library. I will give you tips and tricks, book recommendations, Beanstack info, announcements, and celebrations. Let's get the pages turning.

💙 We’re excited to bring Beanstack to our school! This fun reading program lets students log their books, earn badges, and join challenges that make reading feel like an adventure. Families can get involved too by helping track reading and celebrating milestones together!

If you would like to help your student(s) track their reading at home, first you will need to download the Beanstack app from whichever online store you get apps from. Once downloaded you will log in with your students Clever account. When you are ready to start logging your child's reading, please watch this quick video to help.

We are in our 5th week of school and moving and grooving in the library. In our 3rd through 5th grade classes we are reviewing how to check in & out as well as how to use the Destiny database. In Kindergarten through 2nd grade we are introducing library skills as well as reviewing library skills. 3rd grade through 5th grade have started checking out books and our younger grades will start checking out in the next few weeks. I'm really proud of how well our students are picking up or remembering our OMES library rules and skills.
