Celebrating our School Board and Much More!
Even though January started out slow after all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas holidays, February has come in with a vengeance! We decided to combine our January and February issue due to January's lack of content but now our combo issue is busting at the seams! Welcome back (after the Christmas break followed by our two week snow break!) , Happy Valentine's Day and Happy President's Day are just a few of our celebrations these two months.
I want to especially recognize our School Board Appreciation Week celebrations. Our school board members were recognized at the February School Board meeting by our students and staff from each school. The board members were showered with gifts and messages of thanks.
This annual observance (School Board Appreciation Week, January 25-31) provides an opportunity to recognize the dedication and service of our school board members and to reflect on how local leadership has lasting impact for our students and community. It is also a time to deepen our understanding of how school board members work together to provide the leadership that shapes the future of our schools. We are thankful for each of our school board members and want to celebrate their work and dedication to Humboldt City Schools.
Lots of great things are happening in our schools and in our community. Be sure to read below about all the great things our students and staff are doing everyday in our classrooms, on the field and in our community! Enjoy!
