Message from the Principal
Dear Cougar Cub Families,
What a wonderful first week, Cougar Cubs! 🐾💚💛
It has been such a joy to see our students back in the classrooms and filling our hallways with their smiles, laughter, and excitement for learning. Our first week of school was a great success, and I am incredibly proud of how our students and staff have jumped into the new school year. There is truly something special about having our Cougar Cubs together again!
We are also excited to share that our second playground will be ready for students to enjoy beginning Monday! We know our students have been eagerly waiting, and we are thrilled to be able to open another space for them to play, explore, and build friendships. Our third playground remains under construction, but progress is being made, and we look forward to having it ready for our students soon. Thank you to our families for your continued patience and support as we work through these improvements.
As we look toward next school year, we are also excited about our plans to transition to using one gym. This change will provide us with additional opportunities for collaboration with our students and create a stronger foundation for introducing and developing team sports and teamwork skills. We look forward to creating more opportunities for our Cougar Cubs to learn, grow, collaborate, and build positive relationships through physical activity and team experiences.
We also appreciate everyone's patience as we continue to streamline arrival and dismissal. Each day, the process is becoming smoother and moving more quickly. Thank you for following procedures, being patient with one another, and helping us make these important parts of the school day safe and efficient for everyone.
Communication is important to us! If you need to communicate with an administrator after school hours, please reach out through ParentSquare or email us at FSHElementary@fshisd.net. We will respond as soon as we are able during our regular school hours.
As we look ahead to another exciting week, I am grateful for our amazing staff, supportive families, and wonderful students. We are off to a fantastic start, and I cannot wait to see all that our Cougar Cubs accomplish this year!
We Are FSHE. We Are Cougar Cubs on a Mission!
With Cougar Cub Pride,
Your Principal 🐾💚💛

Welcome back, Cougar Cub Families!
The FSHES Counseling Team is excited to support our students throughout the 2026–2027 school year. Continue to look for our "Counselor News" section in Mrs. Fisher's weekly newsletter, where we will share program updates and valuable resources to help you raise resilient, strong military kids.
RESOURCES:
Support a child’s back-to-school transition by establishing consistent routines and validating their emotions through open-ended questions. Key strategies include practicing social scripts for meeting classmates and maintaining confident, brief morning drop-offs.

Cole Football Schedule
As you know, we support our Cole High School students. The football schedule has been added to our newsletter.
When attending the games, we ask that our elementary aged students remain with their parents. We want to ensure they are safe at all times. Running, throwing the football, or hiding under the bleachers are not allowed during the football games.
Our Cole Cougars will participate in the Peanut Butter Bowl which is a manner to "feed people through football." Our Cougar Cubs assist in collecting and donating jars of peanut butter. We begin collecting peanut butter during Meet the Teacher (August 11).
