From Mrs Tennenbaum

We have a very special presentation for our families at Fairfield and Harmon regarding Technology and the Brain. We know that children today spend time on devices whether it be a phone, an I pad or a computer/chromebook but how is it affecting their brain development? Not only being cognizant of when children are on devices but also being cognizant of what they are watching is a critical key. I hope that you will join us to hear more about how we can work with our children with today's technology.

When: Tuesday January 27th, 6:00 PM

What: Screen Time, Social Media and the Developing Brain. Lynsey Pearson from Pivot Point Counseling puts on this informative workshop for anyone working to help kids make healthy technology decisions.

Where: Fairfield

Cost: FREE

**FREE CHILDCARE from NHS students if parents RSVP.***

School Fees

If your student has any outstanding fees you will be receiving a Fee Billing Statement in your child's take home folder in the coming week. Payments should be paid online through the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus.

Please accept this notification as a reminder to check the parent portal in Infinite Campus to see if your student owes any fees. These fees can include yearly student fees, library fees, sports, electronic device and repair fees.

Yearly student grade level fees help defray the cost of consumable items used in your students' classroom. Other examples of fees may include items such as device fines and library fines for overdue books.

Although your student is in elementary school please be aware that any outstanding fees will follow students throughout their academic career at Pickerington Local School District. Outstanding fees will result in not being able to receive their high school diploma.

Where to pay fees? You may view and pay your student’s fees on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal under fees. Please log into the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus to view and pay fees.

Parent Portal: https://pickeringtonoh.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/parents/pickerington.jsp

Family Cultural Night looking for volunteers!

Our school is hosting a Fairfield Family Culture Night on February 26th. Our goal for this evening is to celebrate the diversity and rich traditions of our Fairfield families. We are looking for parents who would like to teach a short 15-20 minute session about their culture; this could be sharing an artifact, a recipe, music, dress, a digital slideshow about your country, or any other ideas you have! If you are interested in being a part of this event to share about your culture, please email Michelle DiPietro (Michelle_DiPietro@plsd.us) as soon as possible! Thank you!

I Ready Diagnostics and Leveling Up

i-Ready Diagnostic Testing has started. Please encourage your students to take their time and try their best. When they give their full effort, it gives us accurate data to see exactly how much they’ve grown. This allows us to plan the best possible "path of improvement" for each student for the rest of the school year. 🚀

Let’s work together to make sure they feel rested, focused, and ready to show us what they’ve learned!

  • i-Ready Family Center Website

  • Video - i-Ready for families

  • Understanding your students i-Ready Diagnostic Video - English

  • Link to different video languages.
