Cougars,
Jarrell ISD is pleased to welcome Officer Sam Chavez and Jeremiah Harden to the Jarrell ISD Police Department. Both officers bring years of experience, strong leadership, and a passion for working with students.
Officer Jeremiah Harden joins the department with experience serving as a police officer for Manor ISD. Though he most recently worked in another district, he is familiar with the Jarrell community. His children played youth sports, including baseball, football, and basketball. This was a key factor in Officer Harden's decision to work for Jarrell ISD. "I know so many people here in the community. I'm part of it. I'm excited to be here and protect our kids and serve the Jarrell family," Officer Harden said. He has a total of seven years of law enforcement experience. He is based at Jarrell High School.
Officer Sam Chavez joins our police department from Round Rock ISD. In addition to his time as an ISD police officer, he has also been a patrol and corrections officer. He has a heart for public safety. "I believe in our mission to protect students, but also mentor, build them up, and engage with our families. I'm happy to be in Jarrell and be a part of the Cougar community," he said. Officer Chavez has more than 10 years of law enforcement experience. He is based at Igo Elementary.
Jarrell ISD police officers are an important part of maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment. We have officers on every campus. They work closely with staff, students, and families to promote safety, provide education on responsible decision-making, and strengthen trust across our school community.
We’re grateful for their service and dedication to keeping our schools safe.
