• It was a great start to the school year here at Munhall! Our staff have thoroughly enjoyed seeing our students back in the building. I am very proud of the way our students have transitioned back to school.
• In case you missed it, I shared a Munhall Watch Dogs sign up yesterday. This is an opportunity for Munhall Family members to support at lunch and recess.
• Munhall Lockdown Drill - 2025/2026 (ENG/SPA) .docx - In case you missed it, I sent out information today regarding our upcoming Lockdown drill.
• Munhall Parent/Office Information - Please read our Munhall FAQ, which shares important information regarding some Munhall procedures.
• We have hired a new STEM teacher for Monday's only, and her name is Sarah Biggs. Mrs. Biggs will also be at three other elementary schools in our district, and will partner with Mrs. Iannotta.
• As a friendly reminder, we love our pets but please do not bring any pets on to school property.
• Our curriculum night will be on Tuesday, September 9. There will be more details to follow in the near future.
• We have an early release on Wednesday, August 27. Students are dismissed at 2:35 on these days.

District 303 attendance procedures were updated and approved at the June 9, 2025, Board Meeting. All district procedures are available in the CUSD 303 Student Handbook found in the Parent/Community tab in the Information column of the districtd303.org website.

Updates to the attendance procedures were made to bring consistency across all schools within the district and to clarify student attendance expectations. One example of an update is the removal of the pre-arranged absence procedure. This aligns with the definitions of excused and unexcused absences found in Section 2.2.

Families are encouraged to review the CUSD 303 Student Handbook to familiarize themselves with the districtwide procedures.

In D303, we value the opportunity to provide a community of care and support to our families, particularly those facing financial hardship. If your family is currently experiencing a significant financial need, our community partnerships offer several supports for families, including school clothes/shoes, winter coats/accessories, school supplies, toiletries, holiday meals, and/or holiday gifts. If you would like to be considered for any of these supports, please complete the Family Resource Form by September 12, 2025.
