Principal Points

Dear Roosevelt Families,

Looking Ahead

There is so much to look forward to at Roosevelt! As we continue through October and head into the holiday season, our calendar is filled with exciting opportunities to celebrate, connect, and create memories together: Boo Bash , Halloween classroom parties, our Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie and Goodie Fundraiser, Friendsgivings, Field trips, Spirit Days, Assemblies, and even more opportunities to recognize and reward students, there is so much excitement ahead! These experiences are more than just fun events—they help build friendships, strengthen our school community, and make Roosevelt a special place to learn and grow. Be on the lookout for communication about all of these future events.

Tiger Time

This past week, we officially began Tiger Time, our daily literacy intervention block, and I could not be prouder of our students and staff! Our Tigers did a wonderful job adjusting to new routines and approaching this dedicated learning time with focus, flexibility, and determination.

One of our greatest priorities this year is meeting students where they are and providing the support they need to reach their next level. Tiger Time allows us to provide targeted literacy instruction that complements our core curriculum and addresses the individual needs of our learners.

Growth looks different for every child, but our goal remains the same: to help every Tiger build confidence, experience success, and continue moving forward. I am incredibly proud of the intentional work our staff has put into this initiative and excited to see the impact on student growth!

Your Voice Matters — Elementary Family Survey

Each year, we invite families to share feedback about their elementary school experience. Your input helps us celebrate our successes, identify opportunities for improvement, and make thoughtful decisions that benefit our students. We are committed to helping every Tiger learn, grow, and succeed, and your voice is an important part of that work!

Please take a few minutes to complete our Elementary Family Survey by Monday, October 26. Click the button below to take the survey.

Thank you for your continued support, feedback, and partnership. We are grateful for our Roosevelt families and excited for all that lies ahead!

With Tiger Pride,

Mrs. Samouelian

Golden Plate is back and our focus is on.....

Showing respect to classmates and adults at Roosevelt.

We are helping our Tigers understand that respecting classmates means listening when others speak, including others, respecting personal space, using kind words, and appreciating different feelings and perspectives.

Respecting adults means listening, following directions the first time, responding appropriately, and understanding that expectations are in place to keep everyone safe and learning.

Most importantly, we want our Tigers to understand that respect doesn't always mean agreeing. We can disagree while still showing kindness and respect.

Stay Tuned See the Golden Plate Winners!

We know she will continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students and families at her new school. Thank you, Ms. Crabtree, for all you have given to Roosevelt. We wish you happiness and success in this next chapter!
