JROTC Takes 2nd in New Mexico & Raider Competition

WHS Air Force JROTC has had a busy spring competing at the Bataan Memorial Death March in New Mexico and the statewide All-Services Raider meet!

Cadets Alex Anguiano, Dawson Brender, Sierra Cook, Brayah Maughan, and Skylar Helfrich hiked 16.2 miles through the New Mexico desert in March, shortened from the event’s usual marathon-length distance due to extreme heat. WHS placed 2nd out of 17 participating JROTC teams. WHS cadets also took 2nd in mixed team standings at this spring’s Raider competition, with two students also taking home 1st place finishes in individual events. Great work, Panthers!
